Is Brad Pitt Ready To Quit Acting?
Brad Pitt has hinted he wants to quit acting.
The 45-year-old actor - who raises six children with partner Angelina Jolie
- feels he has achieved almost everything he wants to do in his career and
doesn't believe there are as many possibilities for him as he gets older.
"I think acting is a younger man's game; there are fewer
interesting parts for older people and we all get older. But I feel like
I've done it. I've kind of had my time and that's quite freeing."Of course there are still acting dreams left for me. But I'll do them first
and then we'll talk about them."
Brad and Angelina - who have homes in France, California and New Orleans -
move their family with them wherever in the world they are working on a
movie and the 'Inglourious Basterds' star insists it is a lifestyle with
many benefits for their children,
He explained:
"Everywhere is interesting in its own way, each place has its
own feel and something to offer: you pick up something, the kids are picking
up something. They have this world view which we are very proud and happy
that we are able to provide."We get peace in our lives. We got out here a couple of days early with the
family and we get to hang out in a place in Provence. We're pretty good at
it. You carve out that time for the family.Do we get a little silence with
the kids? No, not that kind of silence - silence is over at home, but we
like that chaos."

There is something called work everyone do that. You have to make time for the things and people you care about.
Whatever, who cares Brad was never known for his 'acting skills' anyways. His acting is just painful to watch.
Brad is nominated 2wice for oscar 3 golden glob nomination and one win sags and many more. He is a good actor but he is So handsome and symbolically sexy , that always get in the way of his work.

Brad could go the route of Paul Newman and Robert Redford; after acting they became philanthropist for many organizations. Brad and Angelina could be like Bill and Melinda Gates.....LOL!! Brad is a great actor.. Has created many memorable characters. Today he is a father and a family man. Brad has been in this industry for 20 years. Not bad.. I am a fan and love many of his films.. Like every other actor he has had hits and misses.. but overall a great career.
Funny how people who don't like him are the first to rush to any news to comment.. Sad really. But when you are on the top.. the haters can't stand it.. the best way to handle it is the way he is.. live your life.. be happy and let them suck it..

I always wonder what it must be like for these kids to be travelling all the time. One one hand I´m sure it´s great to see and experience different places with their family, but on the other hand I think kids really need one place that is their home, especially when they were "collected" together from all over the world in the first place. What do you think??
They are not collected they are saved. Many stars who has the ability should do that. You can look other threads celbs travel all over the world for all kind of reason all the time.
ok, they were saved, but I think that is not something a baby or a toddler really understands, but what they surely experience is being taken away, different people, different surroundings, ... no matter how bad the place they were coming from really was.
You are right, these kids are lucky to be saved from hunger, war, poverty, etc., but still : if you would try to give your adopted children a really good start in their new life - surely you wouldn´t drag them all over the world for months but try to give them a place that feels like home first, a chance to grow some kind of roots in one place and culture before "getting this world view" Brad Pitt is so proud of. A new family, plus new siblings and a new place to live every other month seems a bit much to me. Your comment sounds a little like: they should not complain, it´s better than starving...well yes that is true but it does not justify everything.
If you didn't notice most of this kids are adopted when they are not full 1 year olds. They don't rememeber anything.This will be how they know their world around them. All actors travel with their family check out everybody. It is only a big deal when brad and Angie do it.
if YOU did not notice: although they dont talk, babies "remember" a lot unconsciously and what happens to them can have a big effect on their lifes.
AND: not ALL actors travel so much with ADOPTED kids in tow. and even if they did I would say it´s not the best thing to do, no matter who is doing it. Something that "all actors do" is not by definition "good". Not even somtehing that all people do.
I´m not a fan of Brad and Angelina or any other actor but Im not saying they are bad, or mean or anything either. I was just honestly wondering about what life must be like for a small kid from the 3rd world, suddenly travelling jetset style allover the place, that is all.

What a stupid statement. All actors do not drag their children from one place to the other every few weeks or so. That they call their houses in NOLA, LA, Berlin, wherever "homes" is ridiculous. You have to live in a place to make it home and all children want their own room and have friends their own age. Brangelina's kids are not going to know how to interact with anyone who is not in their immediate family or parents entourage. Liza Minelli grew up like and this and look at what a mess she is.

If they both are actors yes. Let us break down shall we? between the two of them at two movie out year each it makes it 4 movies a year. That going to be taped in 4 different places at least and that makes 3 month in one place in a year. Forget the rest of the things they travel like to promote movies, for vaction and other personal reasons.. The thing is we don't follow other actors with children IN DAILY basis and we do to Brad and Angelina so we don't know their whereabouts .
Exactlly. most actors travel with their family to movie locations. Tom is in Austraila, Will is in China, Johnny was just in porto rico, Jennifer G was in LA then they go to bosto for her husband movie then she is in Virgina with her kid right now, Russle just was in England ect.. It is life. Brad and Angie are not that different.

I don't think it's alright for them to continuously be shuttled from place to place. Having a 2 year old, I understand what it's like for a baby or kid to not have a familiar place or something to call home that they can be comfortable at. While my daughter was about 1 year I moved to a different house. There was definitely some adjusting she had to do as it was a new place. In my opinion, it must be pretty hard for Brand and Angelina's kids to be moved from place to place. It's definitely not an ideal situation.
Didn't he say on Oprah " I can only handle four at a time" If that is the case then they should not collect anymore. So sad. ...... Brad and Angie both! And where are those twins? Stuck with the nannies that are most likely more of a parentel figure then those two.
... or may be you should start telling your idols to give home to unperivelage childen. Do good good follow you. They are blessed in everyway. The world is and probalby always can't get Brad and Angie they did something no one ever did the coolst and the most beautiful . Their love story is for generations to tell.
My idols donate time and money to help not just one child, but many without taking them away from their heritage to be a hollywood brat. That makes more sense to me. Those kids are used alot for publicity and money and it's not all donated! And we will see how long the GREAT SO CALLED love story last. You can't base a relationship just on the fact that they have kids. But for those poor kids I hope they do stay together for ever after all they deserve each other. :)

hahahah the great love story part is the hardest one for you. It last as long it will better than most and producting different children and helping kids all over the world. As we all know Brad and Angie not only they adopt but also they put their time and money to help others.

i think he'll be acting a lot less in films but he will never stop. it's true though, the older they get the less roles they have to play. they usually end up playing the parents or something. i still like his movies though :D
