Jessica Simpson On The Cover Of Glamour

Jessica Simpson was featured on the cover of Glamour Magazine this month and she's really telling all! She opens up on her past relationships, future plans, and more.
On relationships:
“I don’t regret anything I’ve gone through.... I don’t know what the future holds, but I hope that my life, as it is now, doesn’t change. I’m very happy and comfortable—it’s a great place to be in. If this article comes out and we’re not together, I’d still love [Tony], and he’d still be a huge part of who I am today.”
On body image:
“It’s not fair that women look in the mirror and feel disgust because of what society has made them believe about beauty. I’ve been through it myself and understand the pressures. We’re all facing the same struggles together, whether you’re a celebrity or not.”
On her divorce:
“It was hard to imagine I would ever walk down the aisle again. It was like a death in the family: You go through the mourning stage, then the rebellion, and then all of a sudden you have to find life by yourself. Once you do that, you feel complete—and that’s the only time you can truly fall in love again, and give yourself over completely to another person.”
On the legacy she’d like to leave behind:
“Tony said, ‘Jessica, at the end of your life, the only thing that’s going to flash through your mind and heart is your husband, kids, family and the people you love. You’re not going to think, I wish I’d done this with my career. And I’m not going to remember how many touchdown passes I threw or if I won the Super Bowl.’ Music is the heart of who I am, and it’s the most personal thing that I do.”
On her future plans:
“I’m never going to be a woman who doesn’t work. At 12 I was emancipated from my parents so I could sign my first record deal. I think I was born working!”
I really like what she had to say about body image. Jessica has certainly been through the media wringer and back so she knows all about societal pressures!

sigh... "If this article comes out and we’re not together" it's like she's cursed :(

It has happened to her before, she does an article saying she loves whoever and then they break up around the same time the article gets published.
it's better than the brides who pose for the cover of Modern Bride and then cal off the wedding

This article actually shows her in a different light to me. She seems like she's got a better head on her shoulder's than I thought.

I love her. She's such a sweet woman- clearly the "Dumb Blonde" thing is an act that she plays up. It worked for Marilyn Monroe, and Suzanne Somers, and countless others, and it's a brand that works for her too. But its nice to see through a window to the soul every now and then. I hope the right guy finds her. ...even though I still secretly root for her and Nick..

crazy. i wonder if she had a feeling that they might end up breaking up...maybe they were already having problems since then. but it sounds like she knows what she wants now and has matured a lot more.
hmm, too bad she can't sing...

She has a much better voice than most
well obviously she didn't feel too confident in her relationship if she was saying how they might not be together when the article is printed. generally when you're so madly in love and comfortable with someone as she claims she was with tony, you're not thinking about breaking up. and im so so SO sick of her repeatedly "finding who i am"and "being in a really good place". obviously she is not, and has not, been in such a place because everytime after a breakup she seems to say the same thing over and over again...just shut up ugh.
Her quote on what Tony said to her about how the only thing that’s going to matter at the end of the life is family is ironic. Didn't Tony break up with her because he wanted to focus on his career? Or so they claim. I agree with the above post. She always seem to be talking about her relationships/breaksups blah blah. Why is she even in the news? Career-wise she has not done anything attention worthy lately.

She sounds matured and ready for life.
I still think she's a ditz. Always have. Always will. Only female singer I like is Fiona Apple.
Of course she had a feeling her and Tony would be over. Any woman who's in a relationship with a man, and has her parents constantly in their business is not going to last! I just hope she learned her lesson from her last failed relationship. Funny she would say she was emancipated from her parents since she was 12, yet her parents is constantly around her and her significant others!!!
Sry 2 say, but when Tony said that the only thing that would matter at the end of life is family, he meant that to her literally. He dumped her because she wouldn't stand up to her menacing parents, always in their business, they couldn't breathe without them breathing down their backs! Jessica chose her PARENTS over Tony, which is WRONG. JESSICA WILL NOT LAY DOWN THE LAW ON HER PARENTS CONSTANT INTEREFERENCE. JESSICA IS LIVING FOR HERSELF SOMETHING HER PARENTS REFUSE TO LET HER DO.
