Rihanna Wants Chris Brown Court Order Downgraded
Remember when Rihanna and Chris Brown happened to check into New York’s Trump International Hotel and Tower a few weeks back and then just happen to be dining across the street from one another at the same time? The reason the pair can't be seen together in public is this nasty little court order that's in place. Well, Rihanna has requested for it to be downgraded.
The ‘Umbrella’ singer doesn’t feel it is necessary for the ‘Run It’ singer – who pleaded guilty of assaulting her in February – to have to keep 50 yards away from her at all times.
Instead, she feels a level-one protective restraining order would be sufficient.
Her lawyer Donald Etra said:
"That order would prevent Chris from annoying, molesting or harassing her. That level-one order would fully protect her. The order in effect now is a stay-away order preventing them from coming within 50 yards of each other. But Rihanna's position from the beginning is that there was no need for that level of protective order."
What do you think this means? Are these two back together and looking for permission to go out in public again?

Well Elaineunodostres, she is with him and she has been with him for awhile now. They just make sure they are not seen together in public. I guess it is her choice and it is her business, but she does makes a joke out of domestic abuse.--------

I had heard rumors to that extent but nothing official has come out saying they are together. Given the restraining order, that's understandable. I know it's her choice and her business. I'm just exercising my own choice to no longer be a fan. What's up with Elaineunodostres? WTH is that?

Exactly! She needs some serious counseling! She is so lucky that there wasn't a permanent head injury. How quickly she forgets. He needs to stay away from her - PERIOD! She is not in any position to request this change. She doesn't have an objective view of the situation. He abused her on multiple occasions. She doesn't want Chris making public statements and brining it back into the news but she doesn't mind being in the same place with him??? What does she think photos of them together would do? Is women like this who make it so hard for women who are abused and want the help, who have no home and end up in a homeless shelter, women who are afraid for their lives and the lives of their kids; is these women that end up dead. The police don't take them seriously, I hope he pops her really good in one eye next time and maybe then her brain synapse will shift to the correct position. YEAH, I SAID IT, SUE ME!!--------

Good, I'm glad you are fine, you are too sweet for crap like that. I had a friend who was abused and she stayed. Any time of the day 2am, 4am I was there. I didn't care what time it was. I told her, call me when you need me, it didn't matter. I meant it too, I'm the kind of friend who will jump out of bed at whatever time of the day and run to help a good friend.( with my baseball bat, though...LOL!)-------

I watched my step-father bash my mother's face in for 16 years. She would leave him and always go back...mostly because she was terrified of him. She finally left him after 16 years of terrible abuse and she never looked back. I'm proud to report that he died alone and in a lot of pain.

I feel your pain DonnaJ....my Father abused my mother for 18 years. At the end he started to beat and choke my sister and I. She finally left him after he almost severed her finger off by biting it. So sad that we had to endure such a fearful childhood. I still don't speak to my father.....he still does drugs and is still the biggest loser I've known to date. He doesn't even know any of his grandchildren! ---em's

she better not take him back but then at the same time since they're both in the same business and hang around in the same area and they probably have the same friends, they are bound to run into each other....maybe she's finding it very frustrating and annoying that she can't be in certain area because chris brown is going to be there. as long as she is protected by security guards, I don't think chris brown is going to do anything stupid - he is afterall in the public eye and he already lost a lot of fans. I'm sure he's going to try to win them back.

Riri wants chris back to remain relevant but, she wants the order of protection only for harrassment, annoyance and molestation so that she can keep him in line. Either you do what I say or I will call the cops and say you harrassed me or something to that effect. If Chris was smart, which it doesn't seem like, he would just leave that trouble alone. If his mother has any say (which I doubt considering she let them get together when he was 17) she would advise his to stay as far away from the disease as humanly possible. Abuse does happen to everyone in the family. I have been going to therapy for over a year due to what I remembered caused me to have a breakdown at the age of 41. Hard on my family and my children who are teenagers. They don't know their biological grandparents. I cut them out of my life for my own survival. I have never abused my children and my therapist and psychiatrist tells me that I am stronger than I realize. It's hard to live in abuse and to not then marry into abuse.

okay I have not known many women who were sufferring in domestic violence, but to me one is more than enough. A family friend went back to her husband after he had been abusing her for years, and he CHANGED (lots of counseling and work on his part) to this day he has not laid a hand on her again. He is the ONLY ONE i have ever known to have changed. it gives me a bit of hope but not enough to say this girl isn't making a mistake.
I hope this is really about convenience in regards to attending same industry events but I doubt it.
