It does not seem harsh to me. I think everybody was expecting Ashley and Mary-Kate to have a wildly public explosion of their personal life once they hit their tumultuous years. What they do in private eye- is not really my concern at all.

Like they say "if they're not talking about you, you're not making a difference". I believe when people talk about me (good or bad) they are taking precious time out of their lives to worry about what I'm up to or doing. (not that I'm important or even worthy of talking about, i'm just sayin)... However, publically making a statement using someone as a negative comparison is not classy at all!

Well, that was a rude thing to say so publicly. I get tired of people hating on Britney. The girl was mentally ill. It's a serious thing. This time 2 years ago, people were taking bets on how long it was going to be until she was dead. Between extreme bipolar and having 2 babies in 2 years which totally screwed up her horomones, that's enough to make anyone crazy. If you're gonna rip on Britney, rip on her crappy music or serious lack of good fashion sense.
The only thing I can say is that the olsen twins made money off of marketing entirely. Brit Brit, tho lacking vocal skill has worked exceptionally hard and is a great entertainer. These girls are bad actresses who will fall from fame by age 30.

i really don't think most of you got the point of the comment. i don't feel she meant this in a negative way at all. i think all she's saying is that, when she looks at britney, maybe she sees somebody that she can relate to. maybe she identifies with some of the confusion and whatnot that britney went through. maybe she was doing the same things in private that britney was doing in public. and looking back, she probably felt that, with all the problems that she had (whatever they were, and please, stop being stupid and thinking that celebrities don't have problems because they definitely do; money and fame do not obliterate problems), she was very close to having a breakdown like britney had. it's not a statement that was made to be mean, it's a statement of truth. she just doesn't understand why it did not happen to her. i wish the people that got on the internet were smarter. this is part of the reason why celebs have problems, because supposedly normal people start conflict that just travels on up the ladder. if enough ignorant people make a fuss about this because they're not smart enough to truly see what she was saying, the media is going to pick it up and blow it out of proportion. it'll take on a life of its own from there. so just stop with the drama. if you need to talk shi* about somebody that much, do it to the people in your own lives instead of rounding up drama for others.

These trolls never had Britney's level of fame and the work load that goes with it. Touring the world from one hotel room to another constantly by the age of 16 for example. Besides didn't one of them just eneded up in a drug rehab center a few years ago with so called " eating disorder" ? Why take a jab at Britney ? She has been nice to everyone. How rude.

ashley-i totally understand what she is going through. it is hard growing up in the spotlight under constant scrutiny. it seems like she doesnt have the right people around her keeping her secure and grounded. we all go through our ups and downs, i know i have. im so fortunate ive had the support around me to get me through it.
