Leonardo DiCaprio Is Ready For A 'Brave New World'

Unfortunately for Leonardo DiCaprio, it's not a world where all the women are six-foot-tall, rail-thin, and blonde, however :) Leo is teaming up with director Ridley Scott to bring Aldous Huxley's novel, 'A Brave New World,' to the big screen.
Huxley sets his book in a seemingly perfect 26th century world that has
achieved harmony by tightly controlling birth, which takes place mainly
in laboratories, and outlawing family. The world is populated by a
series of five castes, each with its own defined roles.Characters who figure in to the story are Bernard, a lower-caste
member, and Lenina, the woman with whom he is infatuated. DiCaprio is
would likely play Bernard, who is persecuted when the leaders of the
society find his behavior antisocial."
Hmmm... this could be really interesting, depending on how it's done. If it gets super preachy, not so good. But I have faith in both Leo and Ridley!
Does it sound like something you'd want to see?

Sure I'll see it. Love him as an actor. Don;t think he's really all that hot, but I think he must be a smart guy. I wish he'd work out a little though. Looks like he's never picked up a bar bell in his life. He's not fat, just has no definition at all.

Hard to say, i'll have to see trailer first i think
i usually like Leo's movies, and i think this sounds promising too. Plus i enjoy sci-fi in small amounts, a bit of abnormality but not spaceships battling in the skies :) The biginning of the description reminds me of Robin Cooks Abduction, it was set under water though, but there too people were "perfect" but to as mere mortals kind of wacko and distressing. The idea might not be all new, but then what is anyway? What makes a great book/movie/what ever is how it is made, not what the basic idea is (of course that matters too) I hope this movie will be a pressing, dark toned wicked good piece that leaves you a bit uneasy and makes you think, but doesn't tell you to, it has the basics IMO :D i agree that it could be a mushy mushy hippocrate air-headed flic set in the future too, or anything in between of those that i descriped actually, you never know.. my hope's on Leo!
