It's Crazy Time

Yesterday was the first day of many that I will be heading into the city to attend NY functions for various parts of my site.
Obviously, INO is all about the gossip - but I started the Beauty and Fashion section a year ago and am now revving up a family piece. I wanted to be sure to cover all aspects of my life. Being a mom is the most important thing for me and that was completely being ignored.
In order to rev up a section, you need to start making nice with PR people - aka attending their events and writing up about whatever it is they want to promote. Yesterday, I had three events and made a mistake with scheduling them - so BILL had to go to one for me!!!
Luckily, it was something that the kids were invited to (will post about it later) and everyone had a blast. I missed it because I had something with Pantene (again, will also post later).
So, it's all fun. But it's getting crazy. Thankfully, all the Family events I'm being invited to allow the children to attend. In a way, it's allowing me to spend more time with the kids. They come with me into Manhattan and then we have lunch or dinner - depending on the timing.
Bill is happy about it too!
After the Pantene thing, I had a quick cup of coffee with my friends Yuli and Michelle. When I say quick... I mean quick. I'm talking 15 minutes max.
Then I hopped over to a Dell Holiday Press preview and took a look at their upcoming line (will write about on Family section). Even this post sounds frantic doesn't it?
Lastly, I met my bf Sylvia for dinner. She lives in Jersey so it's hard for us to get together. WHENEVER I am in the city, we hook up. It's a ritual. We ate at this great little Italian restaurant and ordered way too much food. Without sounding too gross, the fried things didn't agree with me. It's my fault. I have a very sensitive stomach - so I know I should NOT eat those things. But I do anyway.
Well, what a mission it was to get home. I won't go into details because that would just be utterly sick and disgusting - but it was comical. Hopping in and out of cabs, one restaurant to the next trying to make it to PENN. Then the train ride home was a fun fiasco in itself. I think everyone thought I was trying to get a free ride and not show my ticket. I was mortified.
I told the two people that were sitting next to me that I was pregnant and throwing up. What else was I going to say?
What a day! A little TMI right? I know. But if you come here - we are all cyber friends right? :)
I came home and went right to bed.
Now I am off to get ready to head back in today for an Old Navy function. I just can't wait to show you all the amazing stuff I am finding out about.

If you read the main site (the gossip section) there's a link in between stories to go to the family section.

Ha, I feel your pain. I can't eat fast food anymore. At all. Or I have to stay home for a whole day. When did this happen? I used to be a Burger King/Wendy's girl. No more. Oh well, it's certainly helped my diet and weight loss!

it's www.imnotobsessed.com/family!
Vera, I know how you feel. Have you tried Activia? I eat one every day at lunch, and it's made a huge difference. Now my stomach doesn't even do that anymore when I eat fried food. Before, it was terrible and a practically immediate reaction, so I feel your pain!

Ugh, I did that last summer, and I still can't bring myself to eat any more yogurt! LOL I'm not sure if I noticed much of a difference in my system. I have a horrible digestive system! lol

What a cool new venture, Vera! I love it! And what a neat way to spend extra time with the kids while still "working" - multitasking at its finest. Sorry about the tummy issues. I can't eat anything greasy or fried, etc. at all.

Oh man! Throwing up in public must be brutal. You were sick on the train too?? Did u at least have a bag with you?!?! Luckily I don't get sick at all from greasy food. My fave meal is the double big mac supersized deal with cinnaparts for dessert. Can't get greasier than that. Lol

LOL, wow! That's quite the meal! :)

That's so great that you can spend all that time with your kids and husband, Vera! (I know, I've said it before - but you are so lucky!) I'm sorry about the digestive problems, I know exactly how you feel! I have a bad digestive system!

I've been so busy running for office, I might have missed it, did you just say you are pregnant? Congratulations! Or was that a cover story?
