Kim Zolciak Opens Up To Essence Magazine About Leaked Single, Her New Wig Line And Nene
Tardy for the Party... LOL! I still can't get over the name of Kim Zoliack's first single. Either way, it wasn't well received (to say the least) by Real Housewives of Atlanta fans when it leaked onto the Internet this week and Kim is angry. Here she is talking to Essence Magazine about the leak, her relationship with Nene and wigs.
Your first release, "Tardy for the Party," was leaked on the Internet yesterday. What happened?
I'm super pissed off about it. I never released that song to Ryan Seacrest or anyone else. It was going to be on iTunes and I wanted people to see all the thought that went into it, along the timeline of the show so you can see me in the studio and watch me go through the whole process. This is just not how I wanted to release my first song. There's a snake out there. I just have to figure out who it is.
NeNe's new book, "Never Make the Same Mistake Twice," just came out. Have you read it?
I have not read the book yet, but hell yeah, if she wrote about me, I'm going to read it. I mean, she had to write about me in order to sell the book. She told me, ‘Well, maybe you should read it on your way back from New York.' So I don't know what she wrote but I do wish her success and I'm happy for her.
You two came to blows a few months ago. There was a police report indicating that NeNe assaulted you. What happened?
NeNe and I have decided to just move on from that. Yes, there was altercation but we've talked in great length about it and we're just both on to bigger and better things like her book and my wig line. NeNe and I care about each other and because we do, sometimes emotions run a lot higher than if we didn't care at all.
Speaking of the wig line, how far along are you with getting it out there?

I felt like I took so much heat last year from wearing a hairpiece—which is comical because everyone on the show wears one. I just tried to turn a negative into a positive. I found that when I had no alternative and I had to wear a hairpiece, I couldn't find the right color blonde. It was always both too harsh and trashy or the color was more brown than blonde and sometimes the synthetic hair can look shiny and fake. So I took all of these things and turned it into an incredible product. I have prototypes and now I'm looking for a manufacturer who will put them into mass production.
Can we go through some of these rumors that are out in the blogesphere? What about the one that the Bentley you drive doesn't actually belong to you but to former NBA player Gerald Wilkins?
My neighbor Damian is Gerald Wilkins' son. He's a dear friend of mine. Gerald's wife is my real estate agent. I've never had a relationship with Gerald and I can count on one hand how many times I've met the man. The Bentley is in my name. You can pull the title. I bought it and it's mine.

Kim, I know that you and Nene have some history but trust me.......Nene is NOT your friend. She totally set you up that night with Sheree and you are better off finding someone else to be friends with. Ask yourself this question: How would your enemies treat you any differently?
OMG, I agree with Christie White 1000% and was wondering if someone was going to point that out. NeNe is the problem and if she was your friend she would have had a intervention with Sheree and confronted her about what she said. NeNe set you up then, she was pulling you around bossing you around bringing you back into the situation when Sheree was clearly crossing the line. She set you up at the King Tut event and talked crap about you, and she played you last season. Something tells me she's going to do it again. Girl WAKE UP, NeNe IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!

I guess NeNe didn't get the memo on moving on. I see her everywhere talking smack about the assault incident and Kim. She definitely isn't any friend I would want.

How on earth is it remotely possible that this woman has a single out? Her singing was so atrocious on the clip from last season. She is completely tone deaf, really!! There's no way to cover that up in the studio, even with the magic tricks that most music producers pull out of their hat.
Who cares about any of these heifers. They are all low class. Not one of them has any money. By far the lamest cast ever.
I think that we have watched Kim, the youngest of the Housewives by a good bit, mature in some respects as the show progresses. She is now better able to take measure of herself and let go of things when so needed (e.g., her voice, which even she now jokes about). Earlier in her life she waitressed and nursed, two jobs which are bound to imprint the soul with respect to positive qualities such as empathy and sympathy. Have we been subject to "attitude wearing an arrogance overcoat" in Kim -- yes, but certainly less so this season than last (in marked contrast to NeNe).
I agree 100%. Kim has grown as a person. Not saying shes perfect. She needs to not take about the girls. That would defuse a lot of the fights. But shes grown the most of any. Nene... she is like Kim in a sense..she talks trash but she then blames the other person for what shes caused. Then turns it around to work in her favor.
