Michael Jackson Died From Lethal Levels Of Anesthetic Propofol

Michael Jackson Died From Lethal Levels Of Anesthetic Propofol

Now that we know how Michael Jackson died, maybe this will bring some closure to his family. Autopsy results and the full story are in.

The Los Angeles coroner's office found lethal levels of anesthetic propofol in Michael Jackson's body after he died.

Now the question is whether or not MJ's doctor, Conrad Murray, will be held responsible.

Murray told LAPD detectives he was nervous Jackson was becoming addicted to propofol, so he was trying to wean him off. He'd been lowering the dosages and mixing it with two other sedatives, lorazepam and midazolam. He says on June 23, he gave Jackson two medications and withheld propofol.

On June 25 -- the day Jackson died -- Murray gave Jackson a number of sedatives. When none worked, he gave him a dose of propofol, according to court records. (Propofol is only supposed to be administered in hospitals.)

But, according to court records Murray only gave him the drug because he demanded it.

On the morning Jackson died, Murray gave Jackson valium at 1:30 a.m. When that was unsuccessful, he injected lorazepam intravenously at 2 a.m. At 3 a.m., he gave the still-awake singer midazolam. He continued to try different drugs over the course of the morning.

At 10:40 a.m., Murray gave Jackson 25 milligrams of propofol -- down from his usual dosage of 50 milligrams -- after Jackson repeatedly demanded the drug, court records show.

That is the problem -- when stars get so big they have only yes men around them -- including their doctors. So what do you think? At the end of the day does Dr. Murray need to be held responsible for the death of the pop star?

Exactly, just because someone "demanded" it, doesn't mean you give it. Addicts everywhere want narcotics and it is the doctor's job to say no. So, when is someone getting arrested?

If a doctor knows his patient has an addiction, they shouldn't keep giving these drugs to them. Isn't that against the Hippocratic Oath or something?

His "doctor" stopped being a "doctor" when he complied to helping MJ abuse drugs.. He became in effect a drug dealer,, He took a oath to help people not help to destroy them.. He is indeed guilty,, of helping MJ Kill himself,, And of being a drug dealer,, because that is what he became in this case,,, a white collar drug dealer... and he should pay for what he helped to do..

Unfortunately too many doctors do it. It is called greed. Money buys silence and prescriptions.

It should be malpractice just like it would be for a noncelebrity death.

I'm just still shock at the fact that he became so self destructive and a drug addict. Is truly sad, cause he was a "real talented star" with such a good heart and gave so much. His personal life was such a sad one. I guess he'll fall into the "greastest artist" curse. Drug overdose!! R.I.P MJ

Of course he should be held responsible, he is a doctor & knew what he was doing was FAR from ethical. I can't demand my doctor to give me drugs, what makes these celebrities so special, their money? So not worth it Doc, now you will pay for this the rest of your life! SAD SAD SAD

God if that Propofol didn't do it, it would have been the cocktail of drugs he was taking.... and although I agree in essence with everyone that the Doctor is responsible, I believe MJ would have gotten those drugs another way if he had too...... There are theories going around the MJ administered the Propofol to himself????

People, this happens every single day in our society and just because Michael is who he is it's getting talked about. What I’m saying here is that every day drug addicts who are addicted to pain pills get them from doctors. Sometimes the doctors can know or might think that the person has an addiction, but because of a disease or condition the doctors cannot refuse the patient the proper treatment.

I'm not at all saying that talking about this or Michael’s case is a bad thing. The problem I see here is that the doctor gave him these drugs on a regular basis and really, we don't know why he was giving these to Michael. WE DON'T HAVE MICHAELS MEDICAL RECORDS.

My point here is that we are so quick to say that it has to be someone's fault. Should Michael not have some fault as to his own demise? He was the one who wanted the drugs, and as most any addict does he didn't know when to stop. Should the doctor have administered the drug, I don't know but I am saying unless you know all the facts being quick to judge someone of such an awful crime is disgusting.
