Report: Crack Pipe Found In DJ AM's Bedroom

This is just terrible and the story is starting to get ugly. TMZ is reporting that a "law enforcement source" says a crack pipe and pill bottles were found in DJ AM's bedroom. Nothing is confirmed - but whoever TMZ has on their payroll has been on point in the past countless times.
From TMZ:
UPDATE 8:35 PM ET: A law enforcement source on scene tells TMZ a glass "crack pipe" was found in his bedroom. The pill bottles were found in the kitchen.
UPDATE 8:10 PM ET: Sources say a pipe commonly used to smoke drugs was also found inside the bedroom.
No word on whether or not the drugs were RELATED to Adam Goldstein's death though. We will need to wait for the autopsy before anything concrete will be be announced.
UPDATE: Jennifer Weinman, DJ AM's publicist, has made a statement.
"The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time.
Drugs might have NOTHING to do with his death. Just because things were found in his room doesn't even mean they were his. Let's give Adam the benefit of the doubt and the respect he deserves. He was a great guy with a troubled soul and I am sure his friends and family are in deep mourning right now.
My thoughts are with them all.

If a "law enforcement source" is giving out crucial details and information like that this early in the investigation, he or she should be FIRED!

I agree. It's very unprofessional. Even if the person was brand new on the job, I'm sure they were told that if reporters or someone like that asks them anything, then they should refer that person to the PR department.

totally agree! it's all speculation at this point anyways! no matter what they find in his room/apartment, they need time to actually determine what contributed to his death. this must be really hard on his family to hear these sort of things!

What is that noise? It sounds like wings...maybe some cawing... Why, it's the TMZ vultures!
It makes me sad that someone can die and some sources are so quick to jump up and scream things that sound sensationalized.

So sad! He must have been battling some serious demons. You'd think that surviving a horrible deadly plane crash might make you grateful to be alive and want to cherish life. I guess not. Travis doesn't seem grateful either. Strange what post traumatic stress can do.

It's called survivor's guilt. Many people suffer from it where they have lived through an ordeal that took lives of their friends or family. I read somewhere that he was also dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which is very common after an ordeal like the crash he lived through. And then there is that paralyzing fear to ever step on a plane ever again. I'm not making excuses for the choices he made that led to the end of his life, just giving some reasons for such foolish decisions.

I said post traumatic stress. Thanks anyway though.
another druggie gone :( now everyone will feel sorry for him and not hold him accountable for his actions. typical hollywood story. over it. next

Having a drug problem doesn't erase one's humanity the way the ability to make anonymous comments does.

Thanks for the "breaking news" email, Vera...
"Drugs might have NOTHING to do with his death. Just because things were found in his room doesn't even mean they were his.".............Please! Don't be so dumb. It's clear that drugs are big part of his death...maybe even the reason...If there were drugs in anyone's home they more than likely use. Get a phucking clue retard.
hahahah so true, lets be real right.
lmao so true
I actually agree as well. Certain celebrities people want to give a break to - others (more obvious drug users) not so much. Keep personal opinions out of the topics that are posted.

Sometimes being the survivor of a horrible accident isn't as easy as just being thankful you are alive. It changes you sometimes physically, sometimes mentally, and sometimes both. When you realize you can never be the way you were it can be very hard to deal with. All these people judging on here should be thankful if they haven't been through something like that.

Somebody in another thread mentioned that he watched other passengers die. Being lucky enough to live through that doesn't erase the trauma. I feel really bad for whatever he must have been feeling at the end.

That is SO SAD. To think he dodged death once, only to die about a year later. That is very respectful to put aside the drug evidence found in his apartment because it always could be something else. RIP. Prayers to his fam and friends.
Enough of this BJ PM or whatever the fuck his name is. No one knows who he is and no one with any sense really cares.
A-fuc*ing-men. who gives a sh*t about some DJ that's only "famous" because he dated another no talent celebukid who is now addicted to being pregnant and getting her pre preg body back in 24 seconds

May god rest his soul.
seriously, can you believe how much attention he's getting
you should see all the celebrities twittering about him-- go to The Lime Green Scream if you want to see it, very funny how everyone seems to be devastated over it
by the way, I thought vera was getting a new blog design?
To survive a horrific plane crash only to succumb to drugs. What a waste.
Asking people not to make judgments because a crack pipe and pill bottles were found near his body is ridiculous. DJ AM was a known addict. He struggled with his addictions for more than a decade before he got sober 9 years ago. After his plane accident he was put on heavy pain killers. It is next to impossible for hard core addicts to successfully withdrawal from pain meds. on their own. Typically it takes a few cycles of rehab to win the battle. DJ AM returned to work without going through even one rehab cycle. People around him were worried and their fears proved to be warranted. By asking people not to speculate you are only making excuses for the obvious. This country, and in particular celebs in Hollywood, is overwhelmed by a drug culture and hushing it up is wrong. He lived alone. No one else was there. He was an addict. He had recently broken up with his girlfriend. He more than likely overdosed. Case closed. Let's quit playing around and pretending that we need to respect the drug habits of people just because they're celebrities. It's wrong. It's deadly. It's something you SHOULD talk about and not cover up because it's "mean". Get a grip people.
Great post CeeJay2. Illuminating and well put.

I'm not saying that we should respect the drug habits of people. I do think that we should show some empathy towards others, especially when we don't truly know their life stories. Yes, there are things we read in the gossip rags, but we're not walking in their shoes.

How tragic and very sad. R.I.P Adam
well, ANOTHER "TOUGH" AMERICAN FAGGOT, folks!!
I smoke pot and have also kept empty pill bottles from former prescriptions in my medicine cabinet - I would absolutely HATE to think if I died (and was famous, or it was a slow news day), it would be reported I had 'drug paraphenlia' and 'pill bottles lying around'. While I think drugs probably contributed to his death, what with his age, it is going to be incredibly awkward, not to mention horrible for the family, if he died from something else.
Although have a bong for smoking weed and having a crack pipe are a little different.

Goodness help you if you do become famous (or die on a slow news day!) A chunk of people you've never met will be commenting on the story to say you had it coming.

This is truly sad. I hope drugs had nothing to do with his death. R.I.P DJ AM
So sad, a young guy like that, with his whole life ahead of him. My heart goes out to his family.
F*cking druggy. Brad P. is the next!
LOL maybe drugs had nothing to do with his death? Yeah right! BTW this shiz sent Nicole Richie into labor!
addiction claims so many lives...celebrities are tragic because they become insulated with people who protect them (and keep them away from treatment) and treatment becomes unlikely - of course, treatment is difficult without any interference. for others (non-celebs) treatment is just as challenging and the cost can be difficult to cover as well. addiction and treatment are hard but worth it...
so taking drugs = haveing a "troubled soul", what an extremely simple minded thing to say. You must have as very sheltered life and conditioned point of view, sad for you and funny for the rest of us who've lived a bit (not saying you have to take druge to understand, just that you have to get a cle about the real world and the variety and beauty of the way people live their lives.)
Im not surprised..such a shame that after going through a plane crash you think he would appreciate life a little more and not destroy himself on drugs. Hes a dumbass. Im sure another person that died on the plane would have loved a second chance.. Sorry to be so mean but it is so ridiculous..crack pipe?? Seriously?
Rock on Adam. OOPS. Bad choice of words. Someone needs to sue the insurance company of his alleged drug dealer.
"Just because things were found in his room doesn't even mean they were his." - Oh PLUEEZE. Yes it is very sad he has died, but what a naive comment to make.
another life wasted. sad.

If he overdosed I'm more sad for the people who lost family in the plane crash since DJ AM would have wasted his 2nd chance at life. Pff
