Chris Brown Speaks Out

Chris Brown is moving into full-on image rehabilitation mode now that all the legal maneuvering is complete. He's pretaped an interview with CNN's Larry King, and he also sat down with People. Here are some excerpts from his People interview:
He says he still loves Rihanna.
"I never fell out of love with her. That just wouldn't go away."
How he says he felt right after the assault:
"I was distraught … I went to my mom on the same night and told [her] what happened and broke down."
This seems to contradict what Chris reportedly told Larry King, which was:
"No, I don't," he said, when asked whether he remembers beating up his
superstar ex-girlfriend. "It's like, it's crazy to me. I'm like, wow."
These are snippets, however, so the contradiction could be cleared up when you see the entire interview.
Chris also told People why he thinks he's different from his allegedly abusive stepfather.
"I feel like he enjoyed it. He was an abuser. It was continuous."
Chris' interview on 'Live with Larry King' is scheduled to air on Wednesday, and the People magazine interview will hit newsstands this Friday.

i agree with Kai. i feel like he's trying to save his image as well and doing apologies to be able to sell more of his music.
F*ck him, F*ck Rihanna, maybe they'll beat each other to death so we don't have to hear about them ever again.

someone's had enough of these two ?!! (hello girl :)
Hey, I luv your new avi.
Not at all. He truly has no shame. Completely relentless - he ruined his career so he can suck it. He needs to face it that he needs help and that his music career is completely destroyed. He was talented, but the success of a celebrity these days is weighed far more on the public's opinion of them rather than just talent alone. My opinion of him will never improve. He shouldn't be treated any different than any other abuser in the country. They are one and the same.
What a Socio path not taking responsibility for what he did, Oh I dont remember, Yeah, this do is a walking time bomb, I guess because he does not remember it was not HIM that did it,, he will do it again, because he is still in denial that He did not do anything wrong.. sickco
He is so full of crap! I used to really like him and thought they made a cute couple but now he just irritates me everytime I see his face. I can't stand him anymore. Anytime one of his songs comes on I have to change the channel.
I haven't seen the whole interview, but I don't recall hearing him say anything along the lines of "I'm so sorry" or "What I did was wrong" or even "I feel terrible". What a cop out to just say "I don't remember" and "I'm like wow". I mean, he's practically saying he didn't do anything wrong. He somehow still thinks he can come off as a good guy. It really makes my blood boil.
I could imagine having sympathy for him if he truly seemed repentant, but he's still just as cocky as ever. What a jerk.

That's the problem with lying. The truth doesn't change but lies do. He still doesn't get it. Chris - you are just like your step-father. Change begins with honesty.

I'm not interested in his excuses. He's paying for what he's done and no one else has to give a sh!t.

Don't many abusers insist that they "love" the person who they are beating?
...counting the steps to the door of my heart...
