Rebecca Gayheart Pregnant And Smoking?

There is some internet buzz claiming that Rebecca Gayheart is currently pregnant. Looking at these pictures of the actress food shopping, you can absolutely see a bump under her long maxi dress.
Once Rebecca loaded up her car, she lit a cigarette and sped off. Does this mean that she is smoking while pregnant? Or does it mean that she gained a bit of weight and really isn't expecting?

From the pics, we shouldn't assume that the pics of her in the car were taken the same day as the pics of her carrying her bags. Her hair is up in one set and down in the other. I seriously doubt they were taken at the same time. I wouldn't put it past the paps at all to create this scenario.

i think rebecca is pregnant even though they haven't made it offical so obviously getting photographed smoking is not the best thing to do. that said, as a smoker myself, i'm sure she's not the only woman who has struggled to kick the habit once becoming preggo. i don't have kids yet but i've always said that i would HAVE to give up smoking 1st.
i'm not defending rebecca because i do not approve, just playing devil's advocate. personally, i'm not sure how ready she is to be a mom yet b/c this kind of behavior seems selfish/irresponsible. truth be told, i still haven't forgiven her for killing that child. it seems so wrong that she gets to be happy even though it was an accident. and yes i know that's not fair it's just how i feel.

I think people should back off until she confirms she's pregnant. Look at all the speculation around Halle Berry and her "baby bump" when really she wasn't pregnant at all.

Even if she is pregnant, it happens. Women do far worse when pregnant. Not that I am condoning her actions - just making a statement/observation.

A friend that was pregnant in recent years was told by her doctor to cut down to five cigarettes a day. Certainly wouldn't be my choice, but I guess it's better than being a pack a day smoker.
A doctor told a friend the same thing. He said that the body gets really stressed when you quit cold turkey and that that wasn't good for the baby either...
my dad had a collapsed lung and asthma when he was a child cause my granny smoked....back then though they didn't know it was bad for ya!

it really looks like she's pregnant. so selfish of her if she is pregnant and smoking.
It's still her body, pregnant or not, and she is an adult. She didn't become public property when she got knocked up (if she is). Why would nayone take her baby away since most likely it will be born fine? Smoking is a risk factor, but so is being of an advanced age. Would you just automatically take away the infant of a 43 year old woman who selfishly got pregnant despite those risks?
what is up with everyone?? i don't smoke, never have and never will, and i don't like being surrounded by smokers, but my mother smoked and - gasp - drank coffee while she was pregnant and i'm as healthy as a horse, and i have never been seriously ill. and i know a lot of people whose mothers did the same. people should just back off and let people live their lives the way they want to...

Yes, I agree. People should be able to do what they want to do with their bodies. If she's pregnant, it's her baby not anyone else's and she can do what she wants. I can understand how some people could be upset by this...but I can't put myself in yalls shoes. I just don't see anything wrong with a person making her own decision. I would never smoke while being pregnant...but I really can't make myself feel angry at any woman who chooses to do this. Because it is her decision.

The doctors told my friends to wean themselves off cigarettes early in their pregnancy and not go 'cold turkey'. Explaining that it is actually harder on both the mother and baby to just withdraw the nicotine straight up like that. My friend went from to 5 per day to 4....1, 0 over a period of about 3 weeks. So just bear in mind that if she IS pregnant, she may be cutting down, not smoking up every 2 minutes like some people seem to think she is doing.
Low birth weight....premature baby. That's what will happen if she continues. Pretty selfish woman. (Then again, isn't that what Catherine Zeta Jones did? She got pissed, too!) Sped off? Another smart move....

Just because you know of one or two people who got lucky, doesn't make the facts any less true. It can cause low-birth weigh and all kinds of birth defects. Why would you do ANYTHING to jeopardize your child's health? I have also seen women get arrested after giving birth because they had alcohol/crack in their system. Maybe, I should have jumped in front of the cops and said, "STOP!!!!!!!!It's still her body, pregnant or not, and she is an adult. She didn't become public property when she got knocked up (if she is). " or "People should be able to do what they want to do with their bodies. I find it hard to believe that she's pregnant if she's smoking in public, she knows she's going to get photographed so if she had half a brain she'd just do it in private
