Diablo Cody Headed Back To High School

Diablo Cody Headed Back To High School

She's headed to Sweet Valley High. Diablo Cody(Oscar-winning writer of Juno) has been tapped to write and produce a big-screen adaptation based on the 80's books Sweet Valley High about two identical twins. There were more than 100 books in the series and there was also a TV series based on them that ran from 1994-1997.

Did you read these books when you were growing up? Maybe this will introduce the books to a new generation?

Huh? I dont get it..... She's going back to high school? Or do you mean she's writing more books? Or making a movie? A TV show??? For some reason I'm not understanding this post. And who is this chick and how is she related to the Sweet Valley High series?

Oh, interesting. It looks like someone added the word "big-screen" to the post and now it makes a little more sense, but still sounds very, very silly.

I was a huuuuuuuuuuge sweet valley fan.. read the books and the tv show. You can bet I'll be watching the new movie, esp. with her as a writer for it. :)

And wow... she's been doing a lot of different hairstyles lately hasn't she?

I was really into SVH growing up. Well I liked the ones where they were in middle school. I was still in grade school and I thought they were the sh*t. I wanted to be just like them. =P

OMG!!!! I loved that series (both Sweet Valley Twins and Sweet Valley High). I used to collect all the books (along with the Babysitter's Club :) I remember all of the characters...Elizabeth, Jessica, Lila, Enid. Classic pre-teen reading. Too bad I have two boys...no excuse to check out the movie!

Love SVH in grammer school. I doubt they are mature enough for today's teen audience.

Wooohooo!!! I am a diehard SVH fan...I have the complete SVH series (Magna Editions, Super Thrillers and all) PLUS the board game. I'm such a nerd. I am so excited for this movie!!!! I just wonder who they'll get to play the twins...I vote for Brittany and Cynthia Daniels!!!

I loved the series, but I can't see Diablo Cody's style mixing with it well. Juno was wonderfully sarcastic and realistic. I don't recall SVH having that. hmmm.... I'm not sure it'll be a match.

WOW! I love her new hair cut. You have to be very confident to go that short and it just opens her up more. She looks fresh and stylish.
