I love her whichever way. very very talented. plus I always have respect for artists who started out like this and worked their way up.
I think she is a great talent. What she is doing now, IMO, is like what would happen if someone with the talent of Billy Joel decided he wanted to do dance pop. She has amazing song writing skills, and right now she is chosing to use those skills for fun music with performances that step outside the box. I love it! Anyone who underestimates her talent (or her ability to transform herself in the future) does so at their own risk! ; )
The people who like her are certainly entitled to, but for myself I think the reason why I'm not a fan is proven in this clip. The silly costumes feel so inauthentic. I feel like "Lady Gaga" says what she says and dresses the way she does simply for the press attention, not because she's wanted to look that way her whole life. Dita Von Teese or even Ossie Osbourn dresses as something of a caricature but I feel like they would look that way no matter how many people paid attention, be it 2 people watching, or 2 million. Gaga's outfits, on the other hand, just seem just like a way to garner attention. She clearly wasn't into it 3 years ago.

I disagree. We all are naturally naked, and therefore, choose what clothing we put on our bodies. To say one person's choice is more "inauthentic" than anothers is just a little odd. You seem to be saying that she doesn't really want to wear those costumes, but forces herself to in order get attention. How can you make that judgement by looking at someone? She seems pretty dang comfortable in them! On her wikipedia page there is an old shot of her with another performer, and you can tell she has worn costumes and danced around for years. Just because her most recent stuff is a different style doesn't mean it isn't a reflection of what she finds interesting.

I actually think she is a pretty girl now and here but i have to admit i do think she is a lot prettier here and with dark hair and without the fake tan but i understand that her look now is a lot more attention grabbing and makes some people like her more cause they like the image of her being more that way

She's very talented and I think this video proves it. But she looks like your average girl in your average band here, a dime a dozen, nothing stands out. Sometimes talent isn't enough! She's smart and she knew what it took to get to the top. And it worked...
She is more "normal looking" and seems more approachable with the brown hair. But was that REALLY her? Maybe Lady GaGa is the real her and she was trying to conform into society by looking normal. Did anyone notice how very excited her band looked? LOL
Either way, whatever...if she's where she wants to be, good for her!

WOW! It's hard to believe it's the same person. I think she's cute as her natural self. I love seeing what she'll wear next but I feel like the costume/hair and makeup choices age her.
If she hadn't transformed into the Lady Gaga we know today, she would be the same as any other generic artist with no personality.
