Afternoon Links

Even though Lady Gaga seems to have an aversion to wearing pants - I was sort of liking this costume....until she turned around. (see thumbnails below!) And there's the flesh-colored bottoms that make the second costume look like she's not wearing ANY bottom covering whatsoever! She was performing in Washington D.C. last night.

Check out what my cyber friends are writing about:

Is there something in the water at Victoria’s Secret? (Popeater)

Can eating right be any more frustrating? - Watch out for unhealthy health foods. (Fitceleb)

Pamela Anderson living in a trailer? (Splash)

Anna Friel looks frightened by this excited fan. (Holymoly)

Maria Menounos - smoldering photo shoot pics. (Popoholic)

Lisa Kudrow brings Smelly Cat to charity concert! (Celebitchy)

T.R. Knight’s post-Grey’s gig is a musical! (Popbytes)

The CD isn’t dead yet - Britney Spears shops for music at Target. (ICYDK)

After watching the VMA's, I saw she had some real vocal skills. And, she is an amazing writer. Just like with Christina Aguilera, all the extra nonsense just takes away from how talented they are. Christina with her bubble gum pop music and clown make-up, makes her annoying and hard to watch/listen too. I can't stand watching people waste their talents. Lady Gaga and her silly antics is why I am not on board with this lady gaga bandwagon.

OMG....I can't stop laughing. Pure Comedy. Only if she knew her style is not a statement but a great laugh. Poor chile', so much talent (in the voice).

But I would give a million bucks to have a booty like that. Very nice!!

i dont care what she wears on stage cuz it's just her performing and entertaining. but what's sad its that those costumes are her everyday outfit out in public.

I saw her in concert, and I have to say pictures don't do her justice. She has an amazing body!

Whereas I wouldn't copy her fashion, you have to admit, she keeps herself in the spotlight, and knows how to keep the attention on her and her music.

I don't think writing about disco sticks and etc is a talent. Besides, she has an extremely lazy singing voice which she slows down so that she can be even capable of singing.

I disagree. I think that writing and performing three #1 songs does take talent. She is one of only 3 artists in the history of the charts who had 3 songs from their debut cd make it to #1, and unlike others she didn't just sing them she wrote them. She is also one of the few who have had 4 songs from their debut cd reach the top 20. Her voice is great, but she sings live so sometimes it gets a little gravely, but that is what happens when you actually sing live instead of mouthing the words. Her voice is very in tune and on pitch, her vocal quality has a nice warmth to it, and she can change her sound depending on the mood of the song. You might not like her style, but it is hard to argue that she isn't talented.

You think she is trying to I don't know... prove a point and answer any questions?

I love that she wears crazy things. I think it is so entertaining! Everyone does so much of the same thing anymore, I think that her craziness is a breath of fresh air. You know that none of the other pop tarts would have DARED to look something other than "sexy" by putting fake blood on themselves at the VMAs. Women are obsessed with forcing themselves into same old boring kind of sexy, and Gaga doesn't even try to play that game. LOVE IT!

Gaga did a great job exposing herself to the public. If she remained how she was in that video that Vera had of before she became famous we would never be discusing her. She is pushing the envelop in a similar fashion as Madonna in the 80s-90s. You have to be rediculous in the 2000s to get any attention with so much fame-whoring from talentless people. She can sing and write. Have you ever tried to write a song? I have...that ish is hard! She is very brave for a 22 yr old.
