In an exclusive interview with TODAY’s Meredith Vieira, Kate Gosselin speaks out about the suspension of her reality show, her messy split with her husband, Jon, and reports that he took thousands of dollars out of their joint bank account.
This has turned into one ugly relationship. I feel so bad for these children.

So they only have $230,000 to their name? But they have a million dollar house. I'm confused and really not feeling sorry for anyone but those kids. Those two need to go away.
that was there joint account to where they pay for the electric and stuff for the house and expenses that they jointly are trying to share. I bet that will stop and they will have to move...I'm sure they have seperate and savings seperate too

Um most people with million dollar homes (which aint shit unless you live in the freakin mid west) DONT have MONEY. Its called CREDIT. Its the reason the economy is in the gutter and the reason everyone is in debt. Its also the only way people can survive. Dont you realize that they dont own that house. The bank does. They have a mortgage just like every other sucker in the States.

A million dollar house is nothing unless its in some completely undesirable area. And trust MOST people DONT have money. They have 'credit' which basically means 'you dont own anything.'

Anyone who feels sorry for those children should be asking themselves WHY. Have you watched the show? Those kids have a mother that literally takes them EVERYWHERE, exposes them to EVERY fun, enlightening, and special opportunity possible. They have college funds set aside ALREADY, most American children will never have that and will spend the majority of their young adult lives paying off student loans. I fail to see how it is exploitation. I am a mother of two children, working a job I hate - and making good money at it. I stay at it because I want my children to have better than I have. If I could get a better job, writing, acting, making music - doing something FUN, I would take it in a heart beat. Kate and those kids having THE BEST job in the world, and I say that as a mother who cares as much for her kids as any other protective parent would.
And while we're at it, lets compare apples to oranges, shall we? When those kids get older and have access to information on the internet, or through their friends, whose behavior is going to be more disturbing? The mother who filmed and documented many moments of their lives so they'll always be able to look back and see the fun things they did, and know that because of that they were able to do things and see things and have things that most kids won't ever know...or the father whose actions have proven him to be nothing more than a whiny, self-centered, self-proclaimed domestic abuse victim who has serious mommy issues?
Sorry, but Kate wins! She's the far better parent by far, actions DO speak louder than words.

sometimes wanting more for your kids doesnt mean only provide more with material things. true one day these kids will grow but they will not be normal because they didnt have a normal life, most of their private and unflattering moments are all over america and the sad part is they have no control over it because they are too young to pass judgment and they have clowns as parent only interested on themselves and money. Doing more for your children also means making sure they are happier than you were not to have more materialistic things.

Kate has said publicly that when the kids were born, they couldn't pay their bills. They had no choice at the time but to do something out of the ordinary to provide. Jon is uneducated and made $50 K a year. Not nearly enough for the basics for a family of ten. Jon is the one who is hurting this family not the show.

She's a fool. They separate, he has a girlfriend (or two), his own apartment and she never switched the bank account? IDIOT! She knew he was acting irresponsibly. The least she could have done was take half of it and put it into her own account. So, sorry, but she only has herself to blame for this.

She wasn't a fool. She made a legally binding agreement regarding a family bank account which neither party could access without the others consent. Jon is the fool because he broke that agreement. I hope they find him in Contempt and give him a nice little time out in county jail to reflect on his selfish behavior. He should also have to pay back the money with interest.
I agree with Mandi Lou.....a lot of jealousy people here....just because you don't have the same opportunity as hers and living in a nice million dollars home, you don't need to take your anger/bitterness on her. there's nothing wrong what she's doing....all her children are in school full time....they're not being exploited 24/7 that you guys keep complaining. Jon has been proven to be a douche by his actions over and over again.
They all need to go away. I loved that show before it got super ugly. I refuse to watch it anymore b/c I don't want to support such activities. She needs to put her foot down, cut back on their "outings", move back to a normal sized home and get back to reality. Those kids ARE being exploited, do you think they won't be effected when they're walking in their local Target and see their Mommy and Daddy's faces splashed all over the new US weekly?? I am a parent and think its disgusting how they've continued on. Who cares if other people are "bitter/angry"? Someone needs to be thinking about those kids and it doesn't seem to be those two. But hey, its her life... the only problem I have is that those kids are going to have major issues, I hope that they don't, but you know something may go wrong there.

I totally think he has made some bad choices since the split, but for some reason, I don't see Kate as the victim. I bet she is a little shell shocked that Jon isn't doing what she wants him to do. For once he is making his own decision and she can't control him, and she doesn't know what to do. I think she has plenty of money to pay the bills. Why does she make everything so public, battle it out in the court room, come on already, they both are looking like media whores.
I agree. I don't feel an iota of sympathy for Kate. She verbally and emotionally abused Jon for 10 years both privately and publically. She wanted the marriage over, probably because he started to grow up and wouldn't just roll over for her anymore. I find it rather interesting that if the roles were reversed and this was a man abusing a woman, all the feminists would be calling for his blood. Kate is a shrew, conniving, calculating and a liar. Why people continue to allow her any air time is beyond me - especially when she keeps saying she is the one with the kids all the time, oh and what happened to the high road there Kate??? Didn't realise it led to tv interviews over and over. Get a real job, sell that monstrous house and get over yourself!

Jon is going to be on the Insider tonight with Nancy Grace. He floundered very badly on Friday night when asked about the finances and how he would live once he was no longer making money from TLC. It should be interesting to watch.

I saw (heard) Kate when she phoned into The View today. She was close to tears when she was saying talking about Jon taking the money out of the account. Lisa Ling, who was guest co-host for the day, didn't really show sympathy for her, but did for the kids. Kate did say she'd do anything she needed to do for her children, including working at McDonald's. Sherri then said that you can't work at McDonald's and support your kids these days--so true.
