Tila Tequila Explains Her Twitter Meltdown
Did you hear about the series of seemingly suicidal posts Tila Tequila made on twitter last Monday evening? Here's a recap (courtesy of E! Online, since Tila's twitter page is now protected):
"I am going to kill myself cuz I don't want to life in a world where its filled with IGNORANCE! which majority of you ARE! & racists!" she threatened. "As dark descends into my world…I drown at night, without a fight. One last breath before I go. Dont mourn me world, I will die slow."
Tila took to her blog to explain herself.
I am a bit embarrassed and ashamed that the whole world witnessed my very public meltdown about being suicidal, but at the same time, I know that I shouldn't be. I believe that it was God's way of trying to help me because it is not my time to die. Had I not spoken out for help, my loved ones would not have seen my cry for help, and I probably wouldn't be alive today to write this letter to you. Had I not done what I did that night, I most definitely would have made the biggest mistake of my life, that I can never undo....
Then Tila explains how she's had a difficult time since her altercation with Shawne Merriman and the case being dismissed later due to insufficient evidence. I hope Tila is getting the help she needs; she's certainly had a rough time of it lately.

If all of this is true then I really would feel for her, I do have to admit that because she is always so over the top media attention hungry that it is hard to take a lot of the things she says seriously. I have to wonder is this real or is she just grossly exaggerating things for more attention?

Expressing suicidal thoughts does not mean someone is an "attention whore." People don't become suicidal so they can get attention - that is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. It is not something to be taken lightly, ever.

She's extremely sweet, and while everyone has every right to satire a public figure, it just so distasteful to kick someone when they're down. She's hurting, and it's just not that difficult to either say something nice, or nothing at all.
