Jon And Kate Gosselin Birthday Drama?
Earlier today Jon Gosselin shared that he was not sure if he'd go home tomorrow for his girls' (Cara & Mady) 9th birthday.
"As my old self, as an avoider and passive, I want to go home for Cara and Mady — but I don't want to face [Kate]," Jon said.
But he must have changed his mind because he was seen buying a birthday cake at The Cupake Cafe in NYC today. My question is - why would you only buy one cake when you have two daughters celebrating a birthday PLUS you have 8 kids to share that cake? Then again, if you look at the thumbnails - that ONE cake cost $94! Whoa! That must be some amazing cake!
Maybe whether or not he shows up will depend on what kind of backlash (if any) after his appearance tonight on Entertainment Tonight?

I think I paid a little over $100 for my wedding cake, and it was gorgeous and delicious! The caterer was fabulous! I don't think I would pay that much for a birthday cake though. I couldn't afford it!

Don't feel too bad. I just paid $400 for these little mint tins filled with Altoids that are personalized for my sister's baby shower. Ridiculous!

OMG he's such a tool bag!!! Is he going to lug that around the city? I highly doubt he was going back to his apartment, there aren't any paps at his place to chat with! this guy hates tv wants to keep everything private and he's on EVERY SINGLE Celeb show at night giving interview after interview; what is wrong with this person? I can't believe Kate is even letting him come to the party I'd say screw you have your own party for the girls if you want to, how is Kate supposed to celebrate with her kids if he's there? After everything he's said and done in the past few weeks that would be very uncomfortable!!!

Kate started it with: "I want a divorce". I suspect Jon stopped being her patsy, and simply didn't want to go on with the show. And maybe just maybe, though Jon's method is a bit mad, there is something to what he's saying. Kate is just too perfect and no one is that perfect. I don't believe a word that's coming out of her mouth. She's an abuser, plain and simple.

I can't remember how much, but we spent a lot on my son's first birthday, it was a luau theme, so they made a beautiful island with seashells, palm trees and rubber duckys dressed up as Hawaiians. Fun party!

how many divorced parents actually spend events together? all my friends with divorced parents always had two birthday celebrations growing up... two christmases and two thanksgivings.

He has been all over the tv entertainment shows for the past several days busy trying to defend his actions while throwing Kate under the bus, over and over. It got to me when he started talking about their finances. He is obviously pi$$ed at TLC for being cut out of the show, and that is what is behind this latest tantrum. I haven't heard how he expects the family to live once the show is over and there is no more money coming in--as he seems to avoid responding to those questions.

I'm separated from my husband, but even during the worst parts of our split, I still invited him to each holiday, birthday party, school play, etc. We would put our differences aside for the sake of our kids, and their special days, and that's what grown-ups do, not that Jon and Kate know anything about that!
As far as the cake, I highly doubt it's for his girls if he's buying it in another state.
