First Listen: Who Says By John Mayer

Take a listen to 'Who Says' by John Mayer and let me know what you think. He truly is an amazing artist. I just wish we didn't know so much about his personal life. It almost changes your opinion on him, right?
I wish John would follow Leonardo DiCaprio's footsteps and just stay out of the public eye as much as possible. I think of John and I think of his past high profile relationships and don't immediately focus on his music. It shouldn't be that way. He's too talented to be this tainted.

I liked the video more than the music. I mean, I like the music in general, but for John Mayer it's lightweight and disappointing. He has so much more in him... I wish he'd blow off the contemporary/pop crap and play the blues he's capable of (and incredible at!)!

I like it. It'll probably end up as some anthem for the fight to legalize marijuana, too. LOL I agree, I think he's kind of a jerk but he's a great artist.
I really like this! Haven't heard about him in months. He has managed to keep really quiet.

I love his music so much, he is my favorite. that is why i dont look at any of the gossip stuff about him because i dont want it ruin him for me.

I really love his music. I try to see an artist as an artist and not to pay to much attention to his personal life or whatever. I really love the music of Kanye West for example although he is a douchebag. I just listen to the music i like. And when i listen to John I dont think about his past relationships, although i read gossip blogs a lot. I mean just because we supposedly "know so much" about his personal life, doesnt really mean we know anything about him.

I can't stand his voice! For weeks I heard 'Daughters' and I just hated it. Never knew it was John Mayer, until Justin Timberlake did a John Mayer impression on some talkshow.
He always makes me wonder whether his singing voice sounds just like his speaking voice. Probably not, I think he has a case of the Eddie Vedder-itis.

I think this song is not bad. Some of his songs I absolutely can't stand, so I'd say this is an improvement.

He's really boring and generic-I don't get why anyone likes his music.
I agree with you Vera. He spends too much talking about his relationships and trying to be funny that I can't get past the public persona he has made for himself. Also, I really don't like this song :( the lyrics are pretty crappy and it sounds like all of his other songs. So unoriginal!
