Well, a clean and healthy colon is vital, so I guess if this raises awareness and shows more people that it really isn't as horrible as it seems, then great. ... Still, there is an EW factor!
you are totally wrong! That procedure is not healthy if you do it often, it can even lead to death! The healthier way to a clean colon, in the natural way. Washing it, it leads to loss of intestinal flora and fat that is crucial! Whoever does that on a regular basis, is insane. And I don;t understand why doctors don't inform their patients....

if you don;t know what you're doing when you get a colonic, it can be VERY dangerous. I think promoting this on a vacuous show like the Tyra Banks show is irresponsible, not to mention disgusting, all in the name of ratings.

Meh, nothing is really shocking anymore. I want to get one of these done sometime. I would watch this, if I watched TV. I like watching medical things.
They did that on the Simple Life - camp edition.. and not just one. Like 10 people. Take that Tyra.
i'd do it on t.v....just not on her show (me no like the tbankz). AND colonics CAN be bad for you, they are not necessarily bad. "Regularly" can mean seasonal or even yearly. Also, for many people, it is an alternative to prescription medication. You can argue that those people should reduce stress, eat better, yadayada, but for some people that is not their option. maybe for them at that time, being holistic means taking in (more) veggies, going on 10 minute walks, and getting some h-dos-o up their butt. and yes, it does wash out flora but if you go to a good therapist, they would have you beef up on your yogurts and/or probiotics. i would say even a mildly decent one would tell you to do so. as a matter of fact, if you choose to do one, this could be a filter question you ask the therapist to see if he/she (usually a she) knows what she/he is doing. finally, doctors do not prescribe this kind of medicine because HMOs will not cover it and RX companies can't make money off of it (how can they charge healthy people?)
