Balloon Boy's Family Had Reality Show In The Works

Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that Richard and Mayumi Heene, the parents of 6-year-old Falcon (a.k.a. “Balloon Boy”) were developing a reality show!!! They were teaming up with RDF Media USA - yes, the Wife Swap people.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it), after this fiasco, the show is no longer active.
What do you think about this story? Was the father just trying to get some free press? Are they making Falcon lie? Or was this family really frightened about losing their little boy?

The sheriff has come out and said that it wasn't a hoax. But so much of it just doesn't add up, so I'm skeptical.

Definitely a hoax. I saw Falcon throw up on a clip that was on Perez Hilton of them on the Today Show this morning. He was soooo sick and couldn't even speak! Why would they put their child on TV, especially LIVE TV, if he had the stomach flu?!

I think it's pretty shameful that they are using their 6 year old son as a pawn to make money. AND like the previous poster said, making him go on 2 national TV morning shows while buhhing into tupperware! The father rolls his eyes when Falcon buhs...gimme a break, I hope he's next in line to get sick!

They are going to be investigated!! There's no way people will let go of what the kid said on tv. I think it was all for their "show". Such great parents these kids have.

i've heard about that story on a radio show in mtl. and i was sh*t scared for the little boy ,they couldn't find him , so a couple of minutes later we heard that the kid wasn't in the baloon where the heck was the kid? so i stopped listening after that news ,couldn't handle it.
so today the kid is fine at home, vomiting on t.v. but where the kid was all that time ? i'd like to know . Was he fine the whole time?
