My Cousin's Sweet 16
This weekend was my cousin Sandra's Sweet 16. I used to live with her for many, many years. My entire family was in one house. My mother on the top floor, my grandmother in the middle and my aunt in the basement. During the day, Sandra and I would meet in the middle and hang out all day. Eventually she moved out with her parents to a house of their own - and I missed her.
I got married, had two kids and now she is 16. It was really beautiful to see her so grown up with all her friends having a really good time. Her dress was HUGEEEEEEEEEEEe and REDDDDDDDDDDDDD and she loved every inch of it.
During her candle ceremony she dedicated one to me and I started to cry - because I miss her so much and sometimes life gets in the way of getting together. When she turns 18, I am going to take her everywhere with me! LOL!
And when she turns 21, she's coming to all of the events I go to for my job. But for now, we will stick to having dinner and catching a movie.

Sandra is so beautiful, I've known you since you were 9 or 10, a cute little girl. Watched you turn into a beautiful woman have a family achieve so many things. And now here is Sandra turning 16. WOW I'm feeling old. And the family looks great.......

Aww she's beautiful. I have a little cousin that I watched grow up. She turned 16 last year and wore a Blue gown that was huge & puffy just as Sandra & looked like a princess. When I saw her my eyes teared up; just the fact that I watched her grow up eventhought I went on living my life we still have our dinner dates & movie nights.
BTW I felt really old that night of the sweet 16...LoL

You both look sooo pretty! I love Sandra's dress - she looks like a princess. She also looks more mature than 16! That sounds like fun - the living arrangement you had growing up. Vera do you have siblings? I have step-siblings now but was an only child when younger..I always thought it would be fun to have a full and busy household.
The plans you have for you and Sandra in the future sound very nice too.

I saw some of the photos on FB! All of you look absolutely lovely! So sweet that you have a such a close bond with her. I'm exactly the same way with my niece (she's about to turn 19) because she lived with us for a long time. My baby girl! You must be so proud of Sandra!

And personally, my cousins are like my siblings to me prob because of the only child status.
