I'm Thinking Of Cutting All My Hair Off

I'm Thinking Of Cutting All My Hair Off

Ok well, not ALLLLLLLLLLLL my hair off - but I am seriously considering doing a LOB (long bob). My hair is SO damaged, fried, thin... FILLED with split ends. Over processed - begging me for help.

So I want to start new - but my hubby is TOTALLY against the cut. He HATES me with short hair and I admit - my face doesn't really work well with the look. But I want to just get it healthy again.

UGH - might go today if I build up enough courage...

Drastic hair changes are always so much fun. I think you should take the plunge. A long bob isn't so drastic that you will regret it. Do it!!

Hair always grows! Talk to your stylist about ways to cut it that are good for your facial features and face shape, so it won't be so it might not be so horrible for your husband.... I can't imagine you'd look bad at all!

I am in complete agreement with this post! It's hair, it grows back! Just make sure whatever you do is flattering for your face. Not every cute cut can work for everyone, but there is a good one for you! I am looking forward to an update on this!

Do it!!!! My husband said the same thing when I cut my hair after our wedding, but he wound up loving it because it looked a zillion times healthier, fuller, etc. Plus it's not short-short in that pic you posted, so I'm sure you can pull it off. I don't go any shorter than shoulder length. If you have a hair dresser you frequent, they should be able to tell you what will and will not look good.

I got my hair all chopped off in January, loved the big change. I had a thick full fringe last year and loved that too. Sometimes you just get so fed up with the same style. If you get a graduated bob then you could still cut alot off without it being to short around the face and you could still tie it up.

My hair is SUPER long (haven't had anything more than a trim in almost 4 years and I've been itching to hack it all off too (but I want to go for a shorter bob). I just CANNOT bring myself to do it! I have very healthy hair (for as much as I straighten it) and everyone LOVES it. I get complimented on it all the time; my friend's mom says I should be a hair model in a shampoo commercial. And whenever I do cut it all off I get mad at myself after like a week because I miss my long, full hair.

I got a lot cut off recently because it was too damaged. It is still too long though. Your hair will grow soo fast and I think you'll look lovely w/the cut Gwyneth is sporting in the pic. I agree w/everyone - ask a trusted hairdresser if that would flatter your face and features.

I usually had blondish highlights and then last fall I copied off of YOU, Vera, lol - you trendsetter! ...and went totally dark. My hair was almost black though. I was shocked that Todd liked it. You never know..

You'll love the health coming back into your hair! Like everyone else said, it'll will grow back! I say do it, Vera! :)
I've had long hair that I've chopped off before, and the change is amazing! Right now, I'm growing it out and it's driving me crazy! I just got it dyed from a light brown to almost black, and it's not what I asked for!I wanted dark brown, and it's practically black! I'm so mad! I've been washing it twice in the shower, and I just read that maybe dish soap would lighten it, does anyone know anything about that?

i'm so depressed over my hair.. it has been thinning for the past few years... it was wavy but now it's hard to keep a wave in it.. i dont know if it's age or what.. i got a body wave and it only lasted a few weeks. ever since then my hair is in horrible condition. i was using non perm dye for awhile but got tired of it fading so fast and used perm dye and now i hate the color on top of it all!
my hair is long too and i'm considering a long bob as well.. my husband encourages it but i love long hair :( i have a few layers in it and even to trim them the front would be a little short.. i might trim and wait a bit to ge tthe bob..

i've seen your photos and video.. your hair looks great and trust me it doesnt look thin (like mine does).. i think you should do the long bob.. it'll look nice with your straight hair :) and it'll grow back by summer for sure if youre not thrilled with it.

i think winter is a great time for less length anyway cause when you have to start wearing coats and scarfs and hats it's so much easier anyway :)
