Designer “Houses” To Be Auctioned For Women In Need

In an effort to support Women In Need, a charity aimed at providing shelter for families in need, some of our favorite fashion figures and celebrities have designed miniature houses for auction. These “houses,” designed by the likes of Justin Timberlake, Bobbi Brown, Moby, the Beckham Family, P. Diddy, Vera Wang, Diane Von Furstenberg, and many more, are uniquely created to support the housing crisis in New York City, and are being showcased in the windows of Saks Fifth Avenue November 5-9th. The auction for these miniature homes, begin on November 9th and are available for bidding at www.charitybuzz.com until November 30th.

Women In Need, Inc. has been providing housing, help and hope to homeless families since 1983. WIN has six homeless shelters in Manhattan, the Bronx and Brooklyn, serving over 2,500 people each night, including more than 1,800 children. WIN doesn’t just provide shelter for families- they also host an eight-week specialized summer day camp and day care for children, operate two licensed outpatient substance abuse treatment clinics, provide domestic violence counseling, HIV/AIDS prevention education, and assist women and families in every way they can to get their lives back on track. Your bid on these (awesome) designer “houses” or a donation can make a huge difference to families all over New York City, as well keep an organization that turns no one away, alive.
