I was excited to hear her sing this song. But it was the saddest thing ever. She couldnt hit any high notes and seemed like she couldnt catch her breath while singing. If it werent for the backup singers, I wouldnt have recognized the song. I found myself thinking - she has really done some damage to herself over the years. I love Whitney but it was sad to watch.
It wasn't that bad
She doesn't have as big of a voice as before, but she still was ín tune and had a nice sound to her voice IMO. Breathing did seem a bit hard for her, but she can still sing, which is more than can be said about some older singers, the muscles just tend to lose their form and many women get much deeper voices when getting older.
it wasn't bad but it wasn't great either, this is whitney we're talking...she used to have such a powerful voice but i think she lost it.

I think she was ok, it was obvious she was struggling for some of the parts she couldn't hit, I still love her though, it reminded me of when i used to dance around my living room jumping from couch to couch listening to that song!
For the love of God give this woman a break and stop talking so negativly about her. I wish half of todays singers would sound that good live. Give her a year of practice and she is gonna kick your ass all over again. It happened to Natalie Cole years ago and now Natalie is picture perfect. You'll see!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has destroyed her voice and is an embarrassment to watch. I was actually nervous for her, thinking she was going to trip on the stairs. She looked stoned performing! She should go hide under a rock and let us remember her as she was in the 80's.
I have to agree...sad but true..she probably needs the money and why she is put out there.

Everyone says to give her more time to practice...wtf? She's been planning her comeback for more than a year now. How much more time does she need? The sad fact is....she once was a powerhouse and now it's gone. It's another testiment to how drugs and alcohol can ruin your life. She still has a nice tone, but she couldn't sing a whole sentence without getting winded and she can't hit the high notes anymore. She did that to herself. It's sad, but those are facts. On the other hand, she does look really good. Although I still wouldn't swear she's clean and sober.
I love Whitney but she couldn't hit the high notes. She couldn't catch her breath. That's from the drugs. It's not negativity- that's honesty. Yeah it could have been worse- but that's not really how you judge things. I am sure with more practice and lessons Whitney will be back up to speed.
She is not ready for the spotlight and should sit down till she is ready. Why is she always hiding her eyes ?

We all need to remember when she was rock bottom. I think she is doing a good job picking up the pieces. Plus she JUST made her comeback give her a break and let her redeem herself.
