The actresses are always much more, well, sedate, than the singers, so it’s no surprise that the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet didn’t have the fashion risks we saw at the 2014 MTV VMAs. Yet what was similar to the VMAs was that there was no clear red carpet trend, either. Everyone went with their own style. It’s fun to see the ‘Orange is the New Black’ ladies outside of their prison garb! We have TONS of pics from the red carpet after the break. RELATED: Emmy host Seth Meyers is on fire for GQ.
For those of you who like awards shows, the last two days have been Christmas in August! The 66th Annual Primetime Emmys were held last night (on a Monday, to get out of the way of MTV’s VMAs on Sunday night). ‘Breaking Bad’ was honored in its final year (including wins for all of its lead actors: Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Anna Gunn!), and ‘Modern’ Family again took home the statuette for best comedy. What did you think of Seth Meyers as the host? I liked him! What did you think of the winners? As much as I love Julianna Marguiles, I think it’s time for ‘Scandal’ star Kerry Washington to be recognized. Share your thoughts in the comments. Take a look at the complete winners list (and check out some press room pics) after the break! RELATED: 2014 Primetime Emmy nominees announced!
Paparazzi caught up with Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen in Ventura, California. The couple were going camping. Looks like they’ll be communing with nature rather than working the red carpet at the Emmys tonight! Perhaps Rachel just didn’t feel like dressing up her baby bump for the red carpet. I can’t blame her for that! RELATED: Rachel Bilson hits the shops.
Did you hear about Lifetime’s biopic of Brittany Murphy? The first trailer for the ‘Brittany Murphy Movie’ is out. Lifetime took an interesting approach: they’re framing it like a murder mystery. RELATED: Brittany Murphy’s mother prepares to write a memoir.
Uh-oh. I hope this blind item isn’t true, but I can’t say I’d be completely shocked and stunned if it was. The entertainment industry is tough; I’m sure there are celebs (both male and female) who date for reasons other than attraction and love. Get the deets after the break.
Last night Miley Cyrus won Video of the Year for her video ‘Wrecking Ball’ at the 2014 MTV VMAs. Rather than accept the award herself, however, she had her date, a homeless youth named Jesse, accept the award on her behalf. Miley posted a pic of the two on her Instagram page (which is the main pic above). Jesse directed fans to Miley’s Facebook page, where the top post has a video of Miley raising funds for My Friend’s Place. RELATED: Give Back Films hosts a BBQ for the homeless.
