Carrie Underwood said,
“I really like the way they feel on my skin, and they’re great for applying makeup.”
INO says we can’t agree more! Celebrity makeup artist Elaina Badro created her namesake professional makeup brushes “to create the flawless makeup looks for red carpet events, music videos, photo shoots, advertisements, etc.”
The Elaina Badro makeup brushes are INO tested and approved! The sixteen brush collection is expertly designed to help you create flawless looks. We’re not the only ones obsessed with these brushes. Not only is Carrie Underwood a fan, but so is InStyle and Refinery29! We’re in good company.
INO got an exclusive interview with Elaina Badro and asked her to spill her secrets. We wanted to know which brushes need to be in every woman’s makeup bag. Badro said,
“I created the “The Essential Brush Kit” ($113.00) to be the fundamental tools that every women needs. This kit includes the foundation, contour, blending, shader, smudger, and synthetic angled liner brush.”
When purchased individually, the Elaina Badro brush retail for $8-$34. These brushes can last forever if properly cared for. Badro advises,
“Makeup artists tend to clean their brushes a lot more often than your every day women. Cleaning your brushes every 2-3 weeks is more than enough if you’re using the brushes solely on yourself. A mild shampoo is ideal, stay away from color treated and/or any specialty shampoos.”
Finally, we wanted to know an insider trick for taking makeup from day to night. Here’s what Badro had to say,
“The quickest way to go from a “day” look to a “night” look is to apply a black pencil in the waterline of your eye. This will instantly add a little drama to the eye for your night out. Apply a dark brown or black shadow and use the smudger brush underneath bottom lashes for a soft smokey look.”

INO discovered a star secret to looking svelte on the red carpet. Yummie Tummie to the rescue! With awards season around the corner, you can bet that more than one star will be sporting Yummie Tummie. Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Lauren Conrad, and Tyra Banks love wearing Yummie Tummies to slim them down for events and red-carpet affairs. Beyonce has been seen wearing hers to the gym!
Sold by Hourglass Angel, the Yummie Tummie is a favorite of Oprah Winfrey. She pin-pointed the biggest benefit of Yummie Tummie when she said,
“No more muffin top!”
Oprah was so enamored with the tanks that she featured Yummie Tummie as one of her favorite things.
Kim and Khloe Kardashian love the Yummie Tummie strappy tank. INO is obsessed with the Stephanie 2-Way Tank by Yummie Tummie. Not only is it a big seller, but it’s a bargain at $29. The temperature controlled fabric helps regulate the flow of air on your skin so you’re never too warm or too cool. The two-way tank is reversible — one side is a scoop neck, the opposite is a V-neck! The tank is available in four colors, including radiant orchid, Pantone’s color of 2014!

She just gets cuter by the day, doesn’t she? Country cutie Carrie Underwood opens up to Redbook Magazine this month about her style, her career and of course what’s usually on every woman’s mind, her diet. Check out some snippets below!
She keeps a food journal: “You know how you feel when you get full? Well, I don’t get full. I can eat a lot. Mike [Fisher, husband] and I were in Italy for 10 days and I put on 8 pounds. So in real life, I have to make sure I’m not eating just to eat.”
She gained weight on American Idol: “It was on the Idol tour [after I won]. I put on a lot of weight [during the show] because we were locked in a room all day with a craft service table. I was bored, so I was just eating. I was never overweight, but I feel better with myself now.”
Trust in her marriage: “If he goes to a bar with his friends, a tabloid is going to report about it. Same goes for me. Trust is what it is. Either you trust someone or you don’t. And I’ve never trusted anyone more than I trust Mike.”
She does her own laundry: “I do not like people touching my underwear. That’s just weird! I travel with a washer and dryer and I like cooking on the bus too.”

This MUST be a first! A husband and wife duo winning the top awards in their respective categories. It happened last night at the 47th Annual Country Music Awards. Blake Shelton won Best Male Vocalist of the Year, while Miranda Lambert won for Best Female Vocalist of the Year. Although Taylor Swift was presented with the Pinnacle Award, she didn’t win any of the regular categories. Instead, this year, the awards were spread out rather than having one big winner.
Check out the gallery for some of the red carpet looks from the CMAs. Sheer gowns were popular! Host Carrie Underwood and New Artist winner Kacey Musgraves both went sheer. Faith Hill flaunted her legs with a thigh-high slit. Sheryl Crow and ‘Nashville’ star Connie Britton went with always-fashionable basic black. The group Lady Antebellum worked the red carpet together, as did award winners Little Big Town. Congratulations to all the CMA winners!
