Sarah Jessica Parker Selling Dinner Date To Benefit Hurricane Sandy Victims

sarah jessica parker auctioning off dinner date

Sarah Jessica Parker is doing her part to help people still trying to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy. It’s easy to forget that a lot of people are homeless this Thanksgiving after Sandy (or the after-effects) destroyed their home. SJP is selling a dinner date with herself as part of celebrity auction being held by Charity Folks.com.

Selena Gomez is also auctioning off the part for one lucky fan to guest star in one of her music videos, and Glenn Close will record a personal voicemail message. Fun! Charity Folks.com spokesman Billy Baldwin said,

“In normal times, one in five New Jersey children go to bed hungry and 1.6 million New Yorkers struggle to put food on their tables.

“These are not normal times. Millions have lost power – many have lost their homes and belongings – and it continues to get colder. This initiative will have an immediate and profound impact on the families who have suffered the most.”

Our thoughts are with everyone who may not be having the happiest Thanksgiving this year.

Glenn Close Stops By The Grove

It’s been quite some time since Glenn Close was spotted on the scene, but on May 23, the Oscar nominee stopped by the Grove to chat the afternoon away with Extra host Mario Lopez.

While we’re going to have to wait until Glenn’s episode airs to find out what she and Mario were dishing about, by the looks of these pics, I think it’s safe to say that these two had a great talk yesterday!

Joined by Tyra Banks, Glenn Close and one of reality TV’s favorite duos, Coco Austin and Ice-T, the stars got the chance to check out one of the most talked-about shows to hit the city in quite some time!

Brad Pitt & George Clooney Among Celebs Attending Academy Award Nominee Luncheon

Exciting! Brad Pitt and George Clooney look like they’re enjoying the experience of being Academy Award nominees. We’re certainly seeing plenty of Brad these days (not that I’m complaining ;))!

‘The Help’ stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer also attended, along with ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ star Rooney Mara, Glenn Close, perennial favorite Meryl Streep, and Brad’s ‘Moneyball’ co-star Jonah Hill. Melissa McCarthy and Michelle Williams attended as well. Who are you rooting for this year?

Kathy Griffin Stands Up For Heroes In NYC

While I always LOL when I catch Kathy Griffin’s My Life on the D-List series, the super funny star actually stepped out for a more serious cause on Wednesday night. Joined by Diane Sawyer, Ricky Gervais, and Glenn Close, Kathy and co. stepped out for the Stand Up for Heroes event at the Beacon Theatre in the Big Apple.

Styled with class, Kathy was a bold beauty in blue as she rocked the red carpet in a knee-length number on Nov. 9. While other famous attendees bundled up, Kathy embraced the crisp fall air and showed off her fabulously fit figure.

Work it, Kathy!
