Although the Academy Awards is usually considered the final big awards show of the season, once MTV moved their annual movie awards show from the fall to the spring, they became the very final awards show of the year. Last night the 2014 MTV Movie Awards were held, hosted by Conan O’Brien. The red carpet had so many different looks, it’s impossible to say there was a single trend. Check out our gallery and the full winners list after the break.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum hasn’t even celebrated daughter Everly’s first birthday yet, but it’s clear she’s back to her pre-baby body. Check out Jenna in her little print dress. I’m loving the print, which is a bit unusual for me, since I’m normally not a big fan of busy patterns. This one works, though.
We think of the Academy Awards as being quite an event, but you know, I bet the Vanity Fair could rival it. The Vanity Fair Oscar Party essentially has two parts. It starts out as a viewing party. Then the winners and everyone else join in the fun after the Oscars are over. Here’s Lupita Nyong’o holding her Oscar as she makes her way inside. Lupita and Jared Leto gave two of the most touching acceptance speeches last night, I thought.
It’s also fun to watch the Vanity Fair arrivals to see what people changed into. Lupita slipped into this slinky number. LOVE the fringe at the top. Penelope Cruz flashed some leg in her black frock. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Stathan hit up the party as did Robert DeNiro and Grace Hightower as well as Bo Derek and John Corbett. Bo and John are a cute couple, aren’t they? ‘True Blood’ stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer made it to the party. Reese Witherspoon went with a plunging neckline for her LBD. Jenna Dewan-Tatum stuck with the same gown she wore to the Academy Awards, and I don’t blame her: it’s gorgeous! Take a look at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party arrivals, including Amy Poehler, Serena Williams, Jane Fonda, Miranda Kerr, Irina Shayk, and more. What do you think of the after-party looks?

Last year Jennifer Lawrence wore a pretty pale pink gown; this year she vamped it up a little in this red number. LOVE it! Lupita Nyong’o has been turning heads with brightly colored dresses all awards season. For the Oscar red carpet, Lupita switched it up with this dress. I heard her saying on TV that she actually helped design this gown! Champagne bottles were the inspiration, as well as the color blue. Lupita said she grew up surrounded by blue. I think she looks AMAZING.
Take a look through the gallery at the other red carpet looks. Kate Hudson took the plunge in her gown. Meryl Streep wore an elegant gown. Elsa Pataky flaunted her baby bump on the arm of Chris Hemsworth! Charlize Theron attended the Oscars sans Sean Penn but still looking as elegant as always. Jessica Biel, Naomi Watts, and nominee Cate Blanchett all decided to go for nude-colored dresses: talk about understated elegance! Penelope Cruz could pass for a Greek goddess, couldn’t she? Love her gown!
And we can’t forget the celeb couples. Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith look great and seem to be going as strong as ever. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard are as cute as ever. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum make for one gorgeous couple. What do you think of the Oscars red carpet?

The pre-Oscar parties are in full swing with the 5th Annual QVC Red Carpet Style party! Nicole Richie showed off her chic red carpet style in this black frock. Jenna Dewan-Tatum went for the gold with her dress. Kendra Wilkinson wasn’t the only one flaunting a baby bump; doesn’t Jenna Fischer look adorable? Take a look at the gallery for a closer look at the variety of red carpet looks. INO also has some info about what happened inside the party, after the celebs worked the red carpet. Here were some sightings:
Kate Mara arrived at the same time as Jenna Dewan-Tatum and the two were inseparable the whole night, holding hands, laughing, and joking. Jenna joked, “We always see each other at parties and we joke that we’re like a couple because we stick together the whole night. We’re even matching tonight!”
Jaime King was spotted without BFF Jessica Alba (who was just recently named the godmother of her son.) However, King saw Kaley Cuoco and the two were seen having a great time at the event despite the rainy weather.
Jenna Fischer came to support friend, stylist, and QVC Designer Jen Rade, who was launching new pieces from her collection last night. Jenna joked, “My mom and I buy each other gifts from ‘The Q’ all the time, that’s what we call it because you can always expect Quality from QVC!”
Looks and sounds like it was a fun party!

Why choose between the popular trends of white and black or patterns? Jenna Dewan-Tatum mixed it all up with this outfit! Love it. Jenna was dressed to impress for her interview with ‘Live with Kelly & Michael.’
I’m sure Jenna dished about her new show, ‘Witches of East End.’ It’ll be on Lifetime. Are you interested? I’m going to check it out. I’ve heard great things about the books by Melissa de la Cruz. They’re on my TBR pile!

Jenna Dewan-Tatum sat down with Ellen DeGeneres. You know the new mom was asked questions about baby Everly. Jenna even dished on new dad Channing Tatum. She said he feels most confident changing diapers. If you didn’t like Channing before, I’m sure you do now- LOL.
Jenna also shared Channing’s strategy for getting Everly to stop crying. When I first heard it, I was pretty surprised. Yet it makes sense! Now Jenna can handle “soothing baby” and “getting baby to sleep” duties to Channing. Watch this clip to find out what Channing does:
