OMG: Jennie Garth is engaged! She’s engaged to David Abrams. They’ve been dating since last fall.
Jennie Garth and Cameron Mathison were chatting with Mario Lopez for an interview on ‘Extra.’ Jennie even stopped and posed for pics afterwards: that’s how she ended up taking a picture with this little guy. I haven’t seen ‘Extra,’ so I’m not sure what the two were there to talk about. What I do know is I’m loving Jennie’s coat. I need a coat like that! It looks heavy enough to provide good protection against a chilly wind yet it’s still chic (even if it is still warm enough for Jennie to wear open-toed wedges).
That’s always the challenge with winter coats: finding one that is functional yet still stylish. A lot of the lightweight winter coats look great, but once the temperatures dip below the mid-40s, you can Forget It. You’ll be freezing if you wear them outside. Are you a fan?

The couple hung out to watch Jennie’s daughters’ soccer games yesterday. It looks like Michael’s been dating Jennie for a while. At least, he seems very comfortable with her daughters as well as Jennie. Go Jennie! It’s not easy to date with kids, but she’s doing well post-divorce.

Jennie Garth’s dating is going well! On New Year’s Eve, she posted this pic of herself and Big Gigantic musician Jeremy Salken. Now people tell Us Weekly things are getting serious between Jennie and Jeremy. A source dished the dirt.
“He’s very easygoing and chill. They’re smitten.”
I’m glad to hear things are going well for Jennie on the dating front! There’s nothing easy about jumping back into the dating game after ten years of marriage. Go Jennie!

Everybody noticed Jennie Garth’s physical transformation after her split from husband Peter Facinelli. She started sporting a very svelte figure last summer. Now Jennie is sharing her slim-down tips with Health magazine for the MANY people who have made “weight loss” their New Year’s resolution for 2013. Jennie also opened up about her struggles from 2012. Here are some highlights:
On overcoming heartbreak… “When I’m in excruciating pain, like with what I’ve been through with my breakup and that grief and loss that’s just immobilizing, it helps to remember that it only lasts for 13 to 15 minutes, max. And then it’s over. Your mind is ready to go to something else. You might come back to it, but it helps to just know that that pain is not going to last forever.”
On dating… “I’m learning to date again. Looks aren’t important to me anymore…I like positive energy.”
On steering clear of fad diets… “My biggest regret is putting my body through fad diets: Atkins, cleanses, the hCG diet. I lost like 18 pounds, but it came right back. The worst was fasting with colonics for three or four days. It was the most horrifying experience ever!”
On feeling in control… “Every day, I just renew my healthy choices. I feel really good about myself now, and I don’t want to do anything to change that.”
On the importance of saying “I love you…” “They’re my favorite words, and I don’t say them enough to other people, let alone to myself. When you say them, it makes you want to be gentle and kind. Even if you’re mad, there’s that love.”
On staying positive… “There’s no room for negative self talk. None. Just ban it from your vocabulary.”
For Jennie’s 12 rules, you’ll have to read the entire interview, either at Health.com or in the January issue of Health. It’s on newsstands now!
