So the New York Department of Health and Human Services released the results of their investigation into the death of Joan Rivers. The New York Medical Examiner’s office said the comedienne’s death was due to “lack of oxygen” while under sedation because of a “predictable complication.” Melissa Rivers, Joan’s daughter, wants more details. Melissa Rivers, daughter of the late comedienne Joan Rivers, reportedly is planning to sue a physician, Dr. Gwen Korovin, who performed an unscheduled biopsy on Joan during a throat procedure. It was the biopsy that is said to have caused Joan’s vocal chords to swell, which cut off her oxygen supply. That led to Joan going into cardiac and respiratory arrest.
