Remember the rumor that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wanted to tie the knot at the famous Palace of Versailles? It actually was a feasible possible: the Palace does rent out rooms for events. Kim and Kanye are currently in Paris and visited Versailles. Kim even posted a picture of the two of them leaving the Palace after dark (check out the thumbnail to see a large version) on Instagram. Well, according to Radar Online, the Palace has DENIED their request to have their wedding there. A source claims Kanye was actually told the answer would be “no” before their visit:
[Kim & Kanye's] wedding/reception wouldn’t take place at Versailles. It would just have been to intrusive for visitors to the Palace, and the staff. [But] Kim and Kanye really wanted to get married at Versailles and were both hoping to persuade officials during their visit…ultimately it backfired. It was still a firm no.
“Kim and Kanye will now be scouting private estates and chateau’s in the region. Working with an estate manager would be much easier than dealing with all of the red tape of having a wedding at a public venue. The couple is looking for something grand, but something that can offer privacy and security.”
I feel torn about this. On one hand, if rooms are available for rent, shouldn’t anyone be allowed to rent them as long as they can afford the fees? On the other hand, the thought of a Kimye wedding in Versailles just seems SO over-the-top. I’ve gotta ask:
