It’s Happening! Lauren Conrad Begins Filming New Reality Show

Lauren Conrad swore off all reality programming… that is until the right deal came along. Here she is shooting scenes for her new reality show with a friend in Los Angeles. The show is a bit different than ‘The Hill’s – it’s more of a documentary-style program and entirely revolves around the creation of her fashion label ‘Paper Crown‘.

So, why did she decide to come back to the spotlight?

I wanted a private life. I wanted my own personal life and this new show allows me to do that,” she told OK. “It made sense for me to come back because I really enjoyed filming. It was just my need to have a life that was just for me, so now I get to do both.”

I’m in! Will you be tuning in? There’s no premiere date set as of yet. Will post as soon as we find out.

Lauren Conrad Doesn’t View Audrina Patridge As Competition

Remember that drunken rant that Audrina Patridge’s mom went on after her daughter was kicked off Dancing with the stars? Ever wonder what Lauren Conrad thought about Audrina’s mom referring to the female stars of ‘The Hills’ as ‘tramps, and stating that;

“We’re going to f—ing smoke, especially Lauren Conrad’s pissy a– little fashion s—. That b–ch wants to bring it on? Let’s go!”

Us spoke to Conrad and asked her what she thought about Audrina’s mom and her outburst, but the always classy Conrad said;

“I really don’t have a comment on that right now, thanks.”

I guess not! I mean really, what can you say? I think Lauren is far more successful than Audrina, but the two really aren’t competing against each other! I mean Audrina is trying to become an actress and Lauren has made no bones about the fact that acting isn’t her thing.

When asked if she sees Audrina’s new reality show as competition for her new reality show that’s in the works, LC said;

“I think it’s good for her. And no, I really don’t think about it like that at all.”

I think Lauren has made enough success of her own that she doesn’t need to worry about Audrina, and there’s obviously enough room for them both to have their own reality shows. *Sigh*, I miss ‘Laguna Beach’.  Would you rather watch a ‘Lauren’ reality show or an ‘Audrina’ reality show?

Lauren Conrad For ‘Women’s Health’ Magazine

Not the magazine I thought Lauren Conrad would be shooting a cover for… but ok. Here’s Lauren Conrad gracing the cover of Women’s Health Magazine for their November edition.

On her post-TV life: A lot of the craziness is over. Its the calm after the storm.

On balancing her hectic lifestyle: When you are working really hard and you are really focused on your career, a lot of other things suffer. It takes a lot of effort to have a successful career, have great relationships in your life and have a healthy lifestyle. It is just about compromise.

On staying grounded: One way to stay grounded in the entertainment industry is to surround yourself with very good people that will constantly remind you how uncool you are. It helps that I have an amazing family and I have really great friends that I have had since I was a little kid and they are all still around me, reminding me how lame I am.

On producing: You know, the next thing I am probably going to do is getting into producing. For me it is more about finding the time that I really have to dedicate to the beginning stages because I want the first project I do to be something really special.

On her other upcoming projects: Right now, I am working on putting together my next book series; working on the Kohls line. It has taken up a lot of time and has been really, really fun to do.

On her success as a writer: A little bizarre but really cool.

On taking on a dozen different projects and squeezing in workouts with her beau: It helps if your friends and boyfriend like to work out because then you can kill two birds with one stone.

On her kickboxing sessions: Any way to make a workout feel like playtime is great. The stress just melts away.

Never had the chance to read one of her books. Are they worth picking up?

Megan Fox Tells Elle People “Roll Their Eyes” When She Refers To “Her Husband”

Elle magazine is profiling 25 women under the age of 25 in celebration of their 25th anniversary. The magazine also shot four covers featuring Megan Fox, Lauren Conrad, Amanda Seyfried (you can see her cover below), and Gabourey Sidibe.

Megan told Elle people don’t take her seriously as a bride because she’s only 24 (even though she and Brian Austin Green have been dating- with the exception of a brief split- since 2004).

“When I talk about my husband [Brian Austin Green], I feel as if people roll their eyes. It’s like when you’re 16 and order a martini, and the waiter says, ‘Do you think I’m stupid?’ They can’t grasp that I’m old enough to be married.”

I know a lot of people wait to get married these days, but is 24 considered that young to be getting married?

Lauren shares the best part about being in her twenties:

“It’s your time to be selfish; you still have freedom. I was never that girl who just wanted babies. I wanted a career before all of that.

Amanda shares the best and worst (come ON!) thing about turning 25:

“The best thing is, I’m happy. The worst is that I’m scared; the scariest thing is that I know it can’t be easy-the years to come.”

Gabourey shares how she celebrated her 25th birthday:

“Part of me thought it would be weird if people knew I was a grown-up playing a teenager in Precious. So I had a twenty-first-birthday party. We had drinks and went to a strip club called Shotgun Willie’s.”

Sounds like quite a celebration!

You can see the rest of the people profiled and the remaining covers here.

Networks Fighting Over Lauren Conrad’s New Reality Show?

Lauren Conrad, who is featured in October’s issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, has a new reality show in the works (reportedly) and it’s proving to be hot property as several networks want it.

Lauren spoke with Cosmo about her decision to leave ‘The Hills’:

“The show started out very aspirational,” Lauren says. “But by the time I left, it was becoming something else, and I knew it was the right time to walk away.”

Even though she wasn’t happy with the direction of the show, that hasn’t turned her off of reality TV. The author and clothing designer is launching yet another reality show. Lauren won’t fully admit that she’s possibly taking a third stab at reality, but she did share this with Us Weekly:

“The only way I’d return to reality TV would be if it allowed me to decide when the cameras stop,” she tells Us.

Are you ready to see Lauren come back to television?

Lauren Conrad Out And About

I love how seeing Lauren Conrad with her filming crew for The Hills is enough to make the image agency title these photos as “Lauren Conrad on Her Own.” It is true though that seeing Lauren Conrad on her own used to be a rare thing. How strange it must be for Lauren to have her life back. No more worrying about re-shooting her real life for TV. No more having camera ready makeup and hair every second of every day. No more having to create drama for good ratings.

She has to be happy to be done with it. I know I would be.

Celebs Out And About: Lauren Conrad, Kevin Bacon, Kate Gosselin, And Rachel Weisz

Here’s a random collection of celebrities out and about today!

Lauren Conrad was snapped as she left the Somerville Spa in L.A. this afternoon. Yesterday Heidi Montag tweeted to Lauren, telling her she was right all along about Spencer:

@LaurenConrad you were right! Spencer is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sucky!!!

As far as I know Lauren didn’t respond with “I told you so!”. LOL!

Kevin Bacon was spotted arriving back to his hotel in London.

Rachel Weisz was photographed leaving her NYC apartment to head to the Hamptons for a little r&r. I’m excited – Rachel has two movies coming up!

And last but not least, Kate Gosselin was spotted arriving in NYC with her bodyguard.
