Oh, no! Just when things were starting to turn around for Lindsay Lohan, she is back in trouble with the law. Early this morning (Thursday, November 29), the 26-year-old actress reportedly was found in a physical altercation with another partier at a New York City nightclub. Lohan had just left Justin Bieber‘s Madison Square Garden performance and was out on the town at Club Avenue when she became involved in a fight with another, unnamed, female.
She and the other girl were seated at adjacent booths when Lindsay felt the stranger was getting too close. Lohan reportedly said something along the lines of, “Give me space,” and when that didn’t work, she hit the girl. Police were called immediately and they took the actress into custody (reports are from WABC-TV’s Eyewitness News). Lohan has been booked on an assault charge and is still at the police station as INO goes to press.
Lindsay has had a rough few years with the law. After a 2007 DUI, she hit a downward spiral resulting in rehab, jail time and the eventual theft of a pricey necklace. She completed her probation this past March, but has been unable to stay out of trouble.
Lindsay appeared in the Lifetime film Liz and Dick this past weekend in the epic role of Liz Taylor. For months, we’ve been hearing in interviews from the star that she wants to focus on acting and start getting her good reputation from the Mean Girls era back. Incidents like this are sad reminders that we might not be getting that old Lindsay back anytime soon.
