LINDSAY LOHAN
First Look! Lindsay’s OWN Docuseries

lindsay lohan oprah winfrey own docuseriesGet THE Screen Obsessed TV Buzz:

Here it is! This is our FIRST look at Lindsay Lohan’s OWN docuseries, simply titled ‘Lindsay.’ If this clip is suggestive of anything, it looks like Lindsay still had some struggles after getting out of rehab. Contrary to earlier reports, both of Lindsay’s parents, Dina Lohan and Michael Lohan, are in the show. I can’t say I’m shocked by that.

As we’d heard, Oprah Winfrey finally had to step in and confront Lindsay personally. This is all done on camera. I’m hoping this is just the beginning of the story arc, that by the end, Lindsay actually turns it around. It would make for a more interesting series than Lindsay just doing well from day one, wouldn’t it?  Yeah, okay, my friends rolled their eyes when I made the same point

KERRY WASHINGTON & LUPITA NYONG’O
NAACP Image Awards (Complete Winners List)

Kerry Washington/Lupita Nyong'o

Kerry Washington/Lupita Nyong’o

Last night the NAACP held its major awards show of the year: the NAACP image awards! Kerry Washington and her ‘Scandal’ stars were there. Kerry’s keeping her baby bump chic, isn’t she? Lupita Nyong’o and her ’12 Years a Slave’ cast mates worked the red carpet. Forrest Whitaker received some much deserved recognition for his acting in ‘Lee Daniels’ The Butler.’ Is it just me or has that movie kind of gotten lost in the awards show hoopla?

Well, Oprah Winfrey was there to support the movie and the NAACP Image Awards. So was Stevie Wonder: it’s always great to see him! Take a look at the red carpet pictures. Like the other awards shows this season, the focus seems to be on the clothes with minimal accessories. We’re not seeing the bling we’ve seen in years past. It’s a nice change, although I love ogling jewelry, too- LOL. Congratulations to all the winners at the 2014 NAACP Image Awards!

OPRAH
Declutter Your Life With O Magazine

oprah winfrey o magazine march 2014 (1)

Are you ready to declutter your life? What better time to clean house than while doing your spring cleaning? Oprah Winfrey is ready to show you the way in the March 2014 issue of O magazine! Oprah did this process last fall when she held that huge auction. It was an EPIC downsizing: the auction raised over $600,000 for the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy College Fund. She talked about the experience in O.

On realizing what’s important in life: “When you’re coming into your own, nobody ever teaches you how to ask for less. But over the years, you begin to make distinctions; you start to focus on what’s important, and you start to realize what’s superfluous. You realize that a single piece of art that really speaks to you can be far more powerful than a wall filled with “important” works, that a meal eaten with feet up and pajamas on is usually a lot more pleasurable than any fancy-schmancy food at a black-tie gala, that good conversation with an old friend beats just about everything – that less actually is so much more.”

On how she felt seeing her belongings auctioned off: “I’ll admit that I did feel a midlevel anxiety attack coming on as I paced up and down the lush lawn of the polo grounds, saying my goodbyes. For just a split second, I considered bidding on my own folk-art needlepoint rug with the lovely leaf design, but knowing what you need is more than knowing what you want. And what I need is dogs and books, light and space. Instead of feeling walled in by stuff, I want to feel surrounded by calm.”

I need to make sure I get this issue. I have some clutter of my own to clear out this spring, and I know I get too attached to my “stuff”- LOL. The March issue of O magazine hits newsstands on February 18. How about you: do you hold onto too much or are you quick to toss unused things out?

Critics’ Choice Awards
Red Carpet Fashion

2014 critics' choice awards (1)

Here are some of the red carpet looks at the Critics’ Choice Awards, which were held last night. There was no one popular look that ruled the red carpet, as you can see from the pictures (click on the thumbnails to enlarge them). Some celebs, like Amy Adams, Christina Applegate, and Jessica Chastain, popped with bright colors. ‘Saving Mr. Banks’ star Emma Thompson covered up her bright red gown with a flowery jacket. LOVE Amy’s hot pink gown! Other celebs, like Sandra Bullock, Oprah Winfrey, Cate Blanchett, and Meryl Streep, went with deeper, jewel-tone colors.

There was no shortage of prints, either, from Julia Roberts to Julia Louis-Dreyfus to Melissa McCarthy. Nia Long, Kristen Bell, and Aisha Taylor were chic in black, while Lupita Nyong’o was equally chic in white. One thing that is noticeably different from awards’ shows in years past was the lack of bling. Oprah’s wearing a gorgeous bracelet, but for the most part, no one’s flashing millions of dollars worth of bling. Some of these dresses include some sparkle, but most are pretty subdued. Do you like less flash or do you miss it? Regardless, one thing you can count on with red carpet fashion is that it all recycles!

Get The Fab Obsessed Style Buzz:

INO discovered a star secret to looking svelte on the red carpet. Yummie Tummie to the rescue! With awards season around the corner, you can bet that more than one star will be sporting Yummie Tummie. Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood, Lauren Conrad, and Tyra Banks love wearing Yummie Tummies to slim them down for events and red-carpet affairs. Beyonce has been seen wearing hers to the gym!

Sold by Hourglass Angel, the Yummie Tummie is a favorite of Oprah Winfrey. She pin-pointed the biggest benefit of Yummie Tummie when she said,

“No more muffin top!”

Oprah was so enamored with the tanks that she featured Yummie Tummie as one of her favorite things.

Kim and Khloe Kardashian love the Yummie Tummie strappy tank. INO is obsessed with the Stephanie 2-Way Tank by Yummie Tummie. Not only is it a big seller, but it’s a bargain at $29. The temperature controlled fabric helps regulate the flow of air on your skin so you’re never too warm or too cool. The two-way tank is reversible — one side is a scoop neck, the opposite is a V-neck! The tank is available in four colors, including radiant orchid, Pantone’s color of 2014!
