‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson is still hard at work on his new film, ‘Bel Ami.’ This time, though, you can see several of his co-stars: Uma Thurman (in the brown blazer), Kristin Scott Thomas (wearing the black veil), and Colm Meaney. The woman in white isn’t identified.
This is such an impressive cast, I’m really looking forward to ‘Bel Ami.’ Are you?
Now, I’ve heard that Robert Pattinson likes music and hanging out listening to bands, but something tells me this isn’t what he had in mind. Rapper 50 Cent wants the ‘Twilight’ star to join his rap group G-Unit.
“Robert Pattinson. He has a big enough following to be the frontline. ‘Twilight’ ain’t no joke.”
LOL! That is true. Would you listen to G-Unit if Robert joined them?
50 Cent said his regular bandmates, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, are too busy with their own careers to join him on tour. Besides, he likes working with new artists.
“You’ll see new faces, because I’m looking for new artists now. I’ll sign new artists and take them with me and kinda groom them. I don’t specifically say, ‘I want this kind of artist’ – I look for talent that inspires me, that complements what I do with their own thing.”
That’s actually a really nice thing to hear, especially since I’m sure the music industry is cut-throat competitive.
But can you imagine Rob as a part of G-Unit? Actually, it would probably be PRICELESS to see him perform live once!
Okay, I know this is wrong. I know (well, strongly suspect) ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson doesn’t want to be typecast; he wants to be regarded as a serious actor who can play many different roles.
But I still can’t help it. Looking at these pictures, doesn’t Robert look like a vampire? It’s the period clothing, I know, but I think I’d think that even if Robert didn’t play Edward Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ movies.
Maybe I’m just too starved for more ‘Twilight’– LOL. What do you think? Does Robert look like a vampire here?
You have to imagine that Robert Pattinson is enjoying working on his latest film, ‘Bel Ami’ (based on the Guy de Maupassant novel). I mean, it’s a period film which is always fun because you get to dress up in outfits that aren’t typicality worn and he is spending a great deal of time in Budapest, Hungary. What an experience!
Robert recently admitted that he knows his choices might not please his ‘Twilight’ fanbase, but he hopes they still come and take a chance on his other movies.
“If people go to see it, once you’ve got them into the cinema, then it’s almost inevitable that they’ll get drawn into it, hopefully,” he says.
“Obviously, you hope people like things, but if you start doing stuff to please a certain audience, you’re going in the wrong direction.
Especially when you’re trying to please huge swathes of people.”
If you are a fan of Rob because of Twilight, do you intend to stay loyal and see his other non-vampire movies?
I still can’t get use to see Robert Pattinson with the flat hair, but it looks perfect for his role in ‘Bel Ami’ (given the time period the movie is set in), so I understand it Here he is on the set in Budapest, Hungary. I wonder if he gets any more peace and quiet there than if he were filming here in the States?
I have to admit, I’m more interested in seeing Robert in this role than I was in ‘Remember Me.’ With co-stars like Uma Thurman it’ll be interesting to see how this film turns out.
Yet I’m also looking forward to Robert filming ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ so we can see the old hair again- lol.
Well, it certainly isn’t a surprise to hear that ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson got a lot of female attention while filming ‘Remember Me’ last summer, but it’s interesting to hear his co-star, Pierce Brosnan’s, take on it.
“I remember being outside the Plaza Hotel in Manhattan. We were shooting in the Oak Room and there were 2,000 girls out there from 12 to 21. Actually, there were some gorgeous looking girls out there, but they weren’t around my caravan. I had the mothers at my end and some beauties there were too!
But it was very sedate by my end of the motor homes. I’d walk out and get a hearty cheer. I’d trip up the steps of the Plaza feeling very good with myself that I still have the juice.
But as I’d be walking down the corridors into the Plaza I would hear this wave, this cacophony of sound as girls clamored for Robert. His girls go through the rafters for him.”
“I still have the juice”: LOVE it- LOL! Teenage girls can get very vocal when they’re excited, can’t they? I remember those times.
