So ‘fess up: have you checked out the 10th anniversary edition of ‘Twilight’? Stephenie Meyer did something very different: she switched the gender of the characters! Have you ever heard of a writer doing that before? I haven’t.
Author Stephenie Meyer did not let the 10th anniversary of ‘Twilight’ go unnoticed! She didn’t just write a new forward for a special edition, as her publisher requested; instead she rewrote the entire book and switched the genders of Edward and Bella.

Here’s a NEW trailer for Stephenie Meyer’s new movie, ‘The Host.’ Stephenie and the rest of the cast attended a screening in NYC for the movie. The premiere was held earlier this week. ‘The Host’ opens this Friday.
Are you interested? Although the novel was a bestseller, just like the ‘Twilight’ novels, ‘The Host’ doesn’t seem to have gotten quite the same level of attention as the ‘Twilight Saga’ did. Perhaps because it’s geared towards adults? From what I’ve seen (I haven’t read the novel, so I don’t know all the details about what happens), this seems like it would be perfectly appropriate for teens and even preteens who can handle violence. Check out the new trailer below.
Stephenie Meyer was stylish in stripes for the NYC screening of her new movie, ‘The Host‘! Isn’t she looking great these days? Stephenie’s taken the lead in promoting ‘The Host,’ but it makes sense. This is one case where the author’s name is the most well-known on the project. Normally it’s the actors!
Yet the cast turned out for the screening. Diane Kruger was very chic. Check out those thigh high boots! Joshua Jackson was the supportive boyfriend. Saoirse Ronan shone in bright blue. If ‘The Host’ does well, then we’ll be seeing a lot more of her! And, of course, the two hot guys who make up the love triangle in the story- Jake Abel and Max Irons– were on hand. Are you planning on seeing ‘The Host’? It doesn’t seem to have the same momentum as ‘Twilight,’ but the story sounds interesting!

Ready to see Stephenie Meyer’s new movie, ‘The Host‘? The LA premiere was held last night. Diane Kruger is probably the most recognizable name among the cast, but she’s actually a villain in the movie. The star of the movie is an up and coming actress named Saoirse Ronan. The two “hot guys” of the movie are played by Max Irons and Jake Abel.
If ‘The Host’ is anywhere near as big as ‘Twilight,’ then all three of them will be household names by April- LOL. You can see pictures of the three in the gallery. Below is the most recent trailer for ‘The Host.’

‘Twilight‘ author Stephenie Meyer is busy promoting her new project, ‘The Host.’ But she still can’t fully escape ‘Twilight.’ Stephenie was asked about Kristen Stewart’s and Robert Pattinson’s cheating scandal, and she finally addressed it.
“Here’s the thing: there are some actors who are looking to be world famous, to be that household name, and although they might discover that there are a lot of negative things involved in that, it’s what they want. But that doesn’t apply to Kristen and Rob. That’s what makes it kind of ironic and tragic. I just don’t think they enjoy the parts [of fame] that other people would. And I totally get that, because it would not be my thing either.”
Stephenie said being a married mother of three has protected her from these aspects of fame.
“At the same time – and this is where the guilt comes from – it’s created this nice, peaceful place for me. They took all of my heat, which I feel bad about. If they had the choice, I’ve no idea if they’d even do Twilight again. I just don’t know. I think this has all come at a heavy price.”
I’m kind of surprised Kristen and Rob didn’t realize how big the ‘Twilight’ movies were going to be, given how popular the books were. But I guess hindsight is always 20/20.
