‘AGT‘ wasn’t the only reality TV show that had a red carpet event. So did ‘The Voice’! Shakira and Usher, who have served as mentors for two seasons, had fun on the red carpet together. Veteran mentors Adam Levine and Blake Shelton were also there, along with host Carson Daly.
After spending some time on life support his family made the difficult decision to remove him from life support, and he tragically died at just 11 years old. Now, nearly two years later, the man who was operating the jet ski has had his time in court, and was found guilty of five counts including; homicide by vessel, reckless operation, and unlawful operation of a personal watercraft.
While it was no doubt a sad day for Usher and his family, we’re sure that now that a verdict has been reached they can begin the healing process.

So how is Usher starting off 2014? He’s on an adventure in the Sahara Desert and visiting Morocco. Talk about a memorable start to the year! I need to put Morocco on my list of places to visit. I’ll give Usher credit for bravery: I can NOT see myself getting that close to a snake. Take a look at the thumbnails. I’m sure there was a handler nearby, but it wouldn’t make ANY difference to me. I’d still be watching from across the street. That’s why we have zoom lenses on cameras, right? LOL
Usher posted these AMAZING pics to Instagram. These aren’t all of them, so head over to his account to see them all. He and Shakira are both returning to ‘The Voice‘ this winter, too. Usher has a lot going on in 2014. Will you be watching him as a mentor?

For The Voice‘s 6th season, we’re seeing some familiar faces: execs are bringing Usher and Shakira! Nobody’s quite sure why they switched out Christina Aguilera and Cee-Lo Green (again), but I’m not complaining!
The Columbian songstress is back and sassier than ever, throwing punches toward Sexiest Man Adam Levine and looking fabulous! With low ratings for American Idol and a lot of these competition shows, it’s always nice that The Voice isn’t afraid to take a risk, or go back to the show’s basics. Check out the promo video and if you like what you see, tune in to a special two-night premiere on February 24th!

It doesn’t surprise me to see Usher shopping, either. He seems to like fashion himself. He’s looking good here, although I prefer certain pics to others. Even Usher can’t sell me on the drop crotch pants. This is one style trend that needs to end. Like, YESTERDAY.

Well hello, hello! A very HOT looking Usher is on the cover of Men’s Health Magazine and OH MY ladies, I think I need to take a quick break here, LOL. The chart topper opens up to the mag about his latest movie and of course, how he gets and stays in shape. Here are some highlights:
Usher is method: “My commitment to this character demands that I not only physically get ready, but also become him. The hair, the personality, the manner he conducts himself in–all that. He’s an incredible man.”
He’s hardcore too: “I train like an athlete every day, believe it or not. ‘ve beencruising my way down to 174, 172. My second day I decided to ride to the gym,” 10 miles from his home in Atlanta. “So I rode there. Boxed. Rode the bike back home. Mentally, I’m the type of person who can ignore the pain. Put it somewhere else and allow my body to just go there. But I always suffer. You can’t box, ride abike for 20 miles in the heat–Georgia heat–and then go to the studio and rehearse. That’s not happening.”
Taking it down a notch: “Sugar Ray Robinson said the most potent weapon inboxing is rest. Now I realize you can’t push yourself all the way. You have to pull back a little bit.”
