Alanis Morissette had just met the Pope on stage. As she exited the stage she didn't know whether she was supposed to walk in front of or go behind the cardinals who were waiting there.

She explains, "I'm post-Catholic; I don't know how it works anymore, so there was this awkward moment and I walked in front of them. They were all French and they were speaking about me behind me, saying how rude and horrible I was.

I speak French, so I bit my tongue the whole way out and they were just ripping me apart, and then right at the tail end... I just turned back and spoke to them in French and said, 'Thank you so much for your kindness.'"

Wow, so even clergymen talk bad about people behind their backs. I guess gossip is universal, no matter what your status in life. :P

Alanis Morissette Is Happy For Ryan Reynolds

What else is she supposed to say? Alanis Morissette gave the correct answer when asked how she feels about Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson's engagement. And who would ASK that? Alanis and Ryan were together for 4 years and they never made it down the aisle. UGH!

"On a certain spiritual level, I feel like everyone’s where they need to be."

But lesson learned. Alanis says that she will never put it out there for the public's consumption again.

"Public romance . I’m going to be avoiding that in the future . I think the only time I’ll talk about any guy I’m with will be when I’m married with six kids."

Alanis Morissette Admits To Eating Disorder

Thank goodness I am not in a business where people are TELLING me to lose weight. I mean, CAN YOU IMAGINE?! That is way too much for anyone to handle. Alanis Morissette recently admitted that she struggled with an eating disorder because a record executive once told her she was getting too fat.

"(He) suggested I was getting too fat, saying, ‘You need to go on a diet.’ My response was, ‘But I’m a singer.’ He said, ‘Yes, well, you need to get small again.’ That started a whole cycle. Two days later I was sticking fingers down my throat."

Thankfully, Alanis has grown out of that terrible stage and is a much healthier person because of it.

How does Alanis Morissette keep on getting all the Hollywood hotties? First there was Ryan Reynolds (have you seen him shirtless?) and now Matthew McConaughey? This is complete speculation. It could just be that they ran into one another and decided to go for a walk (at least that is what I keep on telling myself). Technically, no reps have confirmed anything. But a picture speaks a thousand words right? In other news, she looks amazing in that bikini!
