Matthew McConaughey's mom has a new book on shelves called I Amaze Myself. And judging by some of the quotes from it, I think we can now safely say we know where Matthew's free spirit style came from. :)

Kay McConaughey revealed that Matt's dad, Jim McConaughey died while having sex.

“On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love. But one day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew that something was wrong, because I didn’t hear anything from him. Just nothing," she says. "But it was just the best way to go!”

And she made sure that the EMT's carried him out of the house nude.

“I was just so proud to show off my big old Jim McConaughey — and his gift.”

Haha, I like this woman's sense of humor!

Matthew McConaughey, his gorgeous girlfriend Camila Alves, and their brand new baby Levi attended an event at Kitson on Robertson Blvd last night. Camila must have some amazing genes, because she looks incredible for just having a baby. Heck... She looks incredible period.

That's not the only place Matty brought his baby already. Matt admitted to People that he already took LEVI TO A CONCERT.

"We took Levi to a John Mellencamp concert."

Surfing, nightlife events and now a concert... what do you think? Too much? Or not enough? :)

Normally, if a celebrity said they were going to take a newborn surfing, I would laugh it off. It would obviously be a joke. For some reason, I don't think the very free-spirited Matthew McConaughey is kidding.

He’ll be surfing next weekend. I can’t wait to get him out there."

Is Matty... going to take Levi out in the ocean with him? If we see pictures of Levi in a sling while Matthew is floating on his surfboard I am going to DIE.

Matthew McConaughey Moving To Brazil

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves have plans to move to Brazil in order to plant roots in the model's home country. I'm not sure how long Matty will be able to stay away from Hollywood. Wait - what am I saying? Warm sunny weather, sandy beaches, daily reasons to be shirtless and jogging. Uh oh!

"Camila’s from Brazil, but I’ve never been. We want to establish some sort of lifestyle there because we want Levi to absorb the culture where his mother came from. Culture is very important to both of us."

First Look At Matthew McConaughey's Son Levi

The image is grainy as it was the best I could find online at this hour of the morning. But here is your first look at Levi, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves' newborn son. He's shirtless... just like his Daddy loves to be. What they should have done was thrown a toothbrush in his hand and tied a bandanna around his head. Now THAT'S a cover shot!

I found some great magazine quotes online. This is Matty talking:

"Contractions started kicking in, and we found a great rhythm. We had a 14-hour session, her and I did. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it. We danced to it. I was DJing this native Brazilian music.

"We’d been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, ‘Let’s handle this. let’s stay in the rhythm. Don’t let the contraction be more than you’."

The actor was the first person to hold the newborn - and was ecstatic to discover he had a son. He adds,

"I had him for the first 15 minutes because they had to take care of Camila. I said, ‘Come here, little man.’ I saw the pecker and screamed that we’d been right all along about him being a boy. Then I brought him over to her."

Matthew McConaughey Launces Record Label

Matthew McConaughey doesn't need to take on new ventures at the moment. He needs to adjust to having little Levi in his world! :)

I'm not sure how hands on the actor is with his newest project, but it looks like Matthew has started a record label... and has even signed on his first artist.

A source tells New York gossip column PageSix,

"He’s looking for a distribution deal with all the major labels for his own label. His first artist is a reggae guy called Mishka. The album will be called ‘Above the Bones’ and the first single is ‘Here Comes Da Train’."

There is currently no date set for the company’s debut release.
