Kate Hudson and her son Ryder were photographed grabbing a cold drink at Grey Dog Coffee in New York yesterday afternoon. One of my absolute favorite things about Kate is her style. I don't know about the combo of the ruffle blue top and brown skirt, but she certainly makes it work. :) I'm so surprised she doesn't try to dress up her son more. I have just as much fun shopping for my son than I do my daughter. :)

Kate Hudson Being Sued

Kate Hudson is being sued! A company named 220 labratories claimes that she entered into a spoken agreement with them and her stylist to develop a line of eco-friendly hair products. Here's where things get a little sticky.

However 220 Laboratories then says that once they showed Kate and David their ingredient list, including the ash, the duo took the knowledge and went to another company to produce their products. The company maintains that at the time they were the sole provider of volcanic ash to the U.S.

Do you think this is true? I mean, would a hair company really show a celebrity their entire ingredient list? I guess that depends on how involved the star plans to be with the line...

The company is trying to hit them claims of "misappropriation of trade secrets and fraud." Yikes!

When I saw this cover of W Magazine I literally had to re-read the caption three times before registering that the picture is actually Kate Hudson. I thought someone had made a typo and that the cover was Kate Moss! In real life they don't look similar at all, but in this photo Kate H. could pass for Kate M.'s twin sister, am I right?

Kate also did an interview with the magazine. Here are a couple of interesting quotes she gave.

ON SPENDING THE “PRIME HOLLYWOOD PARTYING YEARS” OF HER EARLY 20’S CARING FOR HER SON, RYDER…“Am I gonna look back and say, God, I wish I could have gone to that… that… concert? I’d rather be listening to my son sing songs. I’d rather be watching him sleep.”

Nothing beats a walk in NYC on a beautiful summer day. Something magical happens to the city when the weather is nice... especially in the Spring! Kate Hudson took full advantage of what the streets had to offer on a morning walk with her son Ryder.

There is a small internet rumor that Kate is cuddling up with her ex-husband Chris again... since the break up with you know who. It's a quiet buzz. But people are claiming that they were openly affectionate at a recent gathering.

Kate Hudson Is Urging Big Businesses To Provide Daycare

Kate Hudson is lucky enough to work and be able to bring her child along. That's all she's ever known. In fact, I am sure it is written in her contract for each movie she does. The actress doesn't understand how women are able to leave their children to work and wishes big businesses would start providing in-house daycare so moms won't have to anymore.

"I’m so lucky to have care for my child at work. It’s hard when you have kids and you’re working. I want to go to every big corporation and say, ‘You must have daycare!’.

"When I go to work I get to bring my son, but not all working mothers do and I don’t know how they do it."

It's a wonderful thought... yes. But unfortunately highly improbable.

Kate Hudson Promises To Support Ryder's Dreams

Ryder shouldn't expect any pressure from his mother when it comes to picking out his occupation. Kate Hudson has promised that she will stand by any decision he makes and support her son 100%.

"If Ryder came to me and said, ‘Mom, I want to pump gas better than anybody who has ever pumped gas’, I wouldn’t say, ‘No, you’re going to be a doctor’. "It would be taking somebody’s dream and passion and squashing it.

The one thing I’ve learnt with Ryder is that the second you have children they’re immediately who they are, and your role as a parent is to nurture that and try to at least keep them on the right path, keep them grounded and give them unconditional love."

That's a great way to think. Unconditional support isn't the easiest thing to find.

Kate Hudson And Matthew McConaughey Team Up For Another Movie

In case you haven't gotten enough of Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey together on the big screen, we have one more coming up! I just saw Fool's Gold earlier this week and let's just say I could have used a bit of a break. Turns out that Kate and Matty are in serious talks to remake the Goldie Hawn classic, Foul Play.

Here is the summary for the original 1978 film thanks to IMDB:

When, unbeknownst to Gloria, a microfilm cassette is left with her by a dying agent, she becomes entangled in a complicated series of events. She's pursued by a dwarf and an albino, and becomes convinced that they are out to kill her. Finally, with the help of San Francisco detective Tony Carlson, she begins to turn the tables on her pursuers. It becomes clear that the nerfarious crew after her are plotting a dastardly deed indeed - to assassinate the Pope as he visits the city to see _The Mikado_. Gloria and Tony must race against time to prevent this terrible crime.

Lance Armstron Won't Comment On Kate Hudson

I get it. They don't want to talk about it. So hopefully, everyone will stop asking. Lance Armstrong was on The View and wouldn't discuss his relationship with Kate Hudson. I'm officially over it and am moving on from this story.
