Bob Saget Defends The Olsen Twins

Bob Saget hosted a a comedy "roast" last weekend and apparently things got a little raunchy when talking about Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen. Bob wasn't too thrilled about some of the things that were said.

"Anybody who talks about my TV kids - that upsets me the most. I am very protective. I love them very, very much."

John Stamos also took a swipe at the twins while on stage.

"The whole time Bob and I were doing 'Full House,' he was also hosting 'America's Funniest Home Videos' " he said. "His entire job consisted of saying 'Take a look at this' which is what he used to say to Mary Kate in her dressing room."

But afterwards John seemed to regret what he said,

"I truthfully don't know where their sense of humor lies these days. I thought some of [the roast] was a little over the top. They're still my friends," he said of Mary-Kate and Ashley. I think [the comics] crossed the line a few times."

One comedian, Gilbert Gottfried, said they had it coming.

"If you are an Olsen girl, you deserve it. They're going to just have to go home and cry in their billions of dollars."

Mary Kate Olsen Speaks About Heath Ledger's Death

Mary Kate Olsen has issued a statement through her lawyer, speaking out against reports that she was somehow involved in Heath Ledger's death. Her lawyer Michael C. Miller says,

“Despite tabloid speculation, Mary-Kate Olsen had nothing whatsoever to do with the drugs found in Heath Ledger’s home or his body, and she does not know where he obtained them. Regarding the Government’s investigation, at Ms. Olsen’s request, we have provided the Government with relevant information including facts in the chronology of events surrounding Mr. Ledger’s death and the fact that Ms. Olsen does not know the source of the drugs Mr. Ledger consumed. We don’t know the source of the information being quoted in the media regarding the Government’s inquiry, but these descriptions are incomplete and inaccurate.”

Mary Kate Olsen Knows Something About Heath Ledger's Death

Police want to talk to Mary Kate Olsen about Heath Ledger's death... and she's asked for immunity!!! What does that mean? Why would someone do that unless they have something serious to say? This just got terribly interesting. I thought this story was over and Heath could rest in peace, but it seems that Mary Kate knows something that has brought it all back to life.

So why do the police want to talk to Mary Kate? Because she was the first person called after her masseuse discovered Ledger’s body in his New York apartment. According to the New York Post, Olsen "has refused to speak" and her lawyer, Michael Miller, reportedly claims she won’t be interviewed "unless she gets immunity, exercising her constitutional rights". Miller tells the publication, "We are not going to comment on whether there is a criminal investigation."

Mary-Kate Olsen Talks Spencer Pratt

While promoting her new movie 'The Wackness' on Letterman, Mary-Kate Olsen spilled the beans on what it was like to go to high school with Spencer Pratt. I didn't even know these two went to school together. Says Mary-Kate,

"He does not have a good temper,"

"He used to play on the soccer team ... (and) he walked out of a few games. He would walk off the field."

Sounds like he hasn't changed a bit! When Letterman pressed for more dirt on Spencer, Mary-Kate reverted to promoting her movie and advised the rest of Hollywood to "Wear underwear! Wear your panties." Ha! I am really starting to like this girl.

Update: Spencer responds via Us Magazine

"I don't really get why she'd use my name to get press for her little indie film that no one's going to see, She should probably focus more on not getting dressed in the dark than on me."

"I know I've made it in Hollywood when a famous troll is talking about me on Letterman. I forgive her, though," he added. "She's had to go through life as the less cute twin, which must be tough."

I guess he never heard of taking the high road.

Mary Kate Olsen Arriving to The Late Show With David Letterman

Mary-Kate Olsen looked beautiful as she arrived to the Late Show With David Letterman yesterday in NYC. Not only do I actually like her dress and even love the hippy hair, but she's smiling! It's nice to see that she is enjoying her work and building on her resume.

PETA Won't Leave The Olsen Twins Alone

I feel like they may have gone a little too far this time. PETA is calling on it's supporters to send the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen pieces of their hair for the girls' birthday, which is coming up this Friday. The website says:

The twins are still sporting as much fur as ever. Since they seem to be in such dire need of extra hair on their bodies, let's give them some of ours—and send a strong message while we're at it….Save that hair in a bag and mail it to the twins with a note that says, "Please, use my hair instead of the animals'. Happy Birthday."

Pubically criticizing them is one thing, but I feel like asking millions of people to mail them hair might be bordering on harassment. What do you think, is this going too far?

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen recently started renting a $12,000 a month apartment. $12,000!!!! I seriously do not understand why celebrities are always renting out really expensive places to live in, when they own gorgeous houses or apartments! Their new digs are in Greenwich Village. The place has 10 rooms, 3 bathrooms, and a terrace. But the community isn't happy about having new famous neighbors in their complex.

"Their SUVs are always getting in the way of our parking routine," said one resident. "You'd think the President was living here."

"They certainly keep late hours," kvetched another Villager.
