Mary J Blige Comes To The Rescue For Unhappy Shopper

For me, it isn't about the few hundred dollars Mary J. Blige gave to a shopper. It is more about the wonderful gesture and the lasting memory she provided to a woman who couldn't afford a dress that she fell in love with while shopping at Diane Von Furstenberg.

Someone was complaining about high prices and Mary overheard. A woman couldn't afford a dress she was trying to save up for and Mary stepped in and covered it.

According to MTV News, Miss Mary said,

"I know what it’s like to want something and not be able to have it."

The happy shopper bagged her dress and then asked for Blige’s details so she could repay her. But the generous singer said,

"Just enjoy it. I’m blessed, so let me do this."

So very nice of her!!

Celebrities attended the 2008 Raisa Gorbachev Foundation Party held at the Stud House in Hampton Court over the weekend. Kate Beckinsale joined Hugh Grant, Mary J. Blige, Kevin Spacey, and Benicio Del Toro on the red carpet. Quite the hodgepodge of celebs isn't it?

Mary J Blige Cancels Australian Tour

Mary J. Blige is exhausted! So much in fact that she had to cancel this week's Australian / New Zealand tour. The dates have been postponed because Mary litereally is beat. She just couldn't make the trip from England where she is currently performing and is extremely disappointed.

"I am so disappointed that I won’t be able to make it to Australia and New Zealand for the June tour as planned. I want to thank all of my wonderful fans who supported the announcement of my first tour in these countries and I can’t tell you how excited I was to come down in June and put on a show for you all. Postponing these shows has been an extremely difficult decision for me and I am sincerely sorry that I will not be able to fulfil my tour commitments."

The dates for Perth, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand will now take place in November.

WOW! Today two different celebrities had their houses exposed. Mary J Blige recently purchased a $12 million house (more pictures here) while Reese Witherspoon snagged a $7 million cottage. Here they are alongside Mary J Blige and B's sister Solange at the grand opening his new club. The 40/40 Club is a sports bar and lounge located inside The Palazzo Hotel in Las Vegas.

The Smith Family all joined forces (Momma Smith included) to cheer on Will and his latest blockbuster, I Am Legend. Jada along with Willow and Jaden were all present at the New York Premiere held at Madison Square Garden. That woman just gets better with age. She oozes control, confidence, and beauty.Looks like this movie has sparked Hollywood's interest because Tom Cruise, Mary J Blige and Pete Wentz showed up for the event. Where is Katie! I need to see her little pumpkin. :)

8:45pm - I'm live blogging as I watch the MTV Video Music Awards. I told my husband he needs to handle the two kids until after Britney Spears performs. I am totally excited about this. WHAT IS THIS GIRL GOING TO DO? Sing Live? GASP! No - never happen. BUT, I am sure that she is going to do something wild. Let's discuss when it happens. I am going to try to add new pictures as they come along. So, stay tuned! :)8:50 - Paris Hilton has fans? With screaming people behind her, Paris just told Sway her new clothing line launched at Macy's and Kitson. Who doesn't have a clothing line these days? I am actually getting pictures of her shoe line emailed to me this week. Look out for that. Paris wants to see Britney perform... who doesn't? She is also going to LAX for Diddy's party once the show is over.Oh and if you care about the feud between Kayne and 50, Kayne admitted the entire thing is a marketing ploy. He promises he has no beef with anyone.

8:57 - I guess everyone is going blonde these days huh? Doesn't mean I like it. Nelly Furtado looks a heck of a lot better than yesterday. Mary J. Blige has been going back and forth from light to dark over the years. Nothing new here.

9:00- BRITNEY IS ON!! Close up on the extensions! HA!!! Blue contacts and a bikini... her body looks great. And naturally, she isn't singing. She isn't really dancing either. Just walking around the stage calmly lipping the song. I'm looking for pictures!!

9:06 - Sarah Silverman is talking about Britney's kids and it's uncalled for! She called them the cutest mistakes ever. As cute as the hairless va-ja-ja they came out of! Besides that one line, Sarah knocked it out the park! Really funny -- looking for video right now. Click here to watch it.
