While Avril Lavigne is out doing concerts around the world, she's also been making an effort to do good.  Her Best Damn Tour has been helping to raise funds for poor families and kids with disabilities in China.  For her contributions to the cause Avril was just awarded a Certificate of Honor from the China Association of Social Workers.

Congrats to Avril, must be nice to know that she is able to do what she loves and make a difference at the same time!

Is Danity Kane still a group?  Does Diddy actually ax a DK member?  Yes, I need to know. I LOVE THIS SHOW. Been watching since the very beginning.

These burning questions are revealed in a live “Making the Band 4” Special on Tuesday, October 14th at 9pm ET/PT.   Hosted by MTV News correspondent Sway from the Times Square studio, Diddy will give viewers the low down on what really happened when he confronts his platinum recording artists about issues in the group.  Viewers will have face time with Danity Kane when they give their version of the drama that unfolds; and talk about the rumors that have been floating around for weeks questioning the actual state of the group.


Viewers will be left stunned after the cliffhanger in tomorrow night’s “Making The Band 4” season finale. 

They will experience career highs with Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie Klang after their successful promotional tour.  Fans will get to share in Donnie Klang’s release of his very first album JUST A ROLLING STONE.  Then go on a much needed vacation with Danity Kane and Day26 when Diddy rewards them with a trip to Cabo San Lucas.  But nothing will prepare them for the turmoil that unfolds in this drama filled episode. 

All the details will be revealed in the live special on October 14th when fans get an exclusive of never before seen footage from the dramatic meeting with Diddy and Danity Kane.  In the live special viewers and fans will find out if there has really been a cut and if MTV’s favorite girl group stays in-tact. 

Well, this certainly explains a lot.  Courtney Love's drastic weight loss wasn't just due to diet and exercise.  She actually had surgery to have a gastric band placed.  These rumors were all over the place last year, but she denied them.  Now friends have ratted her out...

"Courtney keeps laughing to her friends and saying, ‘Everyone thinks I've had hypnosis but why bother with all that effort? All I did was check myself in and have a fat band fitted.'"

At first she couldn't find a doctor who would consider performing the operation on someone who isn't obese.

 

"Courtney has always had problems with her appearance and is convinced she is ugly and fat. Two years ago she had a gastric band fitted at a surgery in Beverly Hills. Lots of doctors refused to do it as she was nowhere near obese, just a little overweight, but eventually she found one.

 

"And as soon as she had the operation the excess weight started to drop off her. Now she is just skin and bones and looks terrible."

I know that surgery has a lot of serious risks associated with it.  I can't believe she would go that far just to lose some extra pounds! But, honestly, she did lose so much weight SO quickly so I can't say I'm terribly surprised.  I wonder who else in Hollywood has a deep dark weight loss secret they're keeping...

Victoria Beckham had such low self esteem before the Spice Girls reunion that she thinks she could have crawled onstage and died and nobody would have noticed.  But, after hearing the fans reaction to her once the girls were back on tour, her self esteem was boosted.

Amy Winehouse has been contacted by Scientologists.  They're reaching out to her in an effort to assist her un getting her life back under control.  But can they really help when even rehab and family and friends reaching out hasn't gotten through to her?

The Church urged the singer to try its Narconon drugs programme, which it claims has helped hundreds of people kick their addiction. Winehouse is reportedly considering joining the group.

Her number was passed on to them through people she has worked with in the past.

"She had a call from the celebrity branch of the Church Of Scientology. She thinks they got her number through one of the American music producers who worked on her Back To Black album."

Christina Aguilera isn't worried about what her son will think of her raunchy performances when he's older. She's says it's all part of just being who she is.

"It is important to show Max what mommy does. It is really important to me is that he is an individual and that's why it is important for me to stay true to myself. If it happens to be raunchy so be it! It's a matter of self expression to me."

In the past she hasn't been afraid to shock.  Remember the chaps in the Dirrty video? Imagine the teasing Max is going to get at school when he's older!

LeAnn Rimes and her husband Dean Sheremet were photographed shopping at James Perse in Malibu this past weekend.  From the looks of it, the weather in Malibu was gorgeous.

Is there anything more relaxing then perfect weather, husband in tow, a cup of coffee, and shopping? Yeah I didn't think so. :)
