Dita Von Teese Is Learning French
Dita Von Teese is learning French. The burlesque dancer is taking lessons in the language so she can converse with her boyfriend, French aristocrat Count Louis-Marie de Castelbajac, in his native tongue. She wrote on her Twitter page:
“Why oh why didn't I pay more attention in high school French?? Yes, now it really DOES seem like 20 years ago.”
Dita’s love of all things from France has extended to the decor in her house.
The 37-year-old beauty has bought a set of 18th century French sconces - a type of wall mounted light fixture which directs light upwards and are often used for torch lighting – for her home.
“Bought a pair of Napoleonic era sconces, reminds me of Jean Cocteau's ‘Beauty and the Beast’... beautiful arms holding ornate candelabras.”
Dita recently revealed she wants to be a mother and will only start a family when she marries again.
"I'd like to think that if I did have children I'd do it the old-fashioned way and fall in love and get married and then have children.
"But I don't know what the future holds. Maybe it's on the cards for me or maybe it isn't. But it doesn't diminish me as a human being if it's not."
I hate that women feel the need to defend whether or not they want to have children. Dita shouldn't feel this pressure to procreate. Of course it doesn't "diminish" her as a human being!!

Dita Von Teese And Evan Rachel Wood Have An Awkward Encounter
Dita Von Teese, who was married to Marilyn Manson when he met Evan Rachel Wood, had an awkward encounter with Evan on the red carpet at the International Night of Stars event last night. (According to OK! magazine, Evan reportedly is identified as a factor in their divorce papers.)
Moments after Gwen Stefani’s amicable breakup ode Cool plays, smug Evan Rachel Wood struts through, sidling right up beside Dita, 37, who is chatting away with reporters.
At 7:45 p.m., the burlesque babe cups her hands to her face and scatters as soon as she realizes the girl who ruined her happy life is inches away when flashbulbs start popping.
Isn't someone supposed to be watching to make sure things like this don't happen? Ironically, Dita was talking to reporters about moving on after her divorce before Evan arrived.

Dita Von Teese Knows Her Limitations
Dita Von Teese will never be a pop star because she can’t sing and dance at the same time. The burlesque dancer - who was previously married to goth rocker Marilyn Manson - has refused offers to launch a music career because she can’t multi-task on stage.
“I’m not a good singer. I have recorded some songs in that Marilyn Monroe style but I lip synched them when I performed them at The Crazy Horse Paris. It would be much too difficult to sing and dance burlesque at the same time!
“I know myself and what makes me different. No one could sell me an idea of a formula for success for a pop star. No one could talk me into that.”
Dita has also slammed the new crop of rival burlesque performers, claiming she is more committed to the profession because she was in the industry before it became popular. The 37-year-old brunette beauty explained to graziadaily.co.uk:
“I started performing in 1991 before it was cool. I’ve loved it and worked hard. It could be that or it could be luck and being in the right place at the right time. But I like to think it’s because I’ve worked hard and not just cashed in on what’s cool at the time.”
I didn't realize burlesque was becoming more and more popular. She's the only dancer you ever hear of in the media. Are you a fan of the burlesque show? I was actually invited to see Dita perform and she really is something. Very sexy!

Dita Von Teese Offers Up Seduction Advice
Dita Von Teese thinks the key to seducing men is to "know your victim". The 37-year-old burlesque star is never "aggressive" when it comes to pursuing men, because it's easier to sit back and let them come to her.
"I don't have a technique for seducing men because they're all so different. You have to know your victim. It has always worked for me to let them come to me.
"I'm not very aggressive. I don't seduce and destroy. I like to be chased, but I'm not into playing hard to get."
Dita – who was married to goth rocker Marilyn Manson – also revealed she started dressing like a 1940s pin-up because she didn't feel attractive enough in jeans and a T-shirt. She said in an interview with Britain’s Hello! magazine:
"Part of the reason I style myself this way is because I never felt I could live up to what is typically shown to us as being sexy in mainstream culture. I never felt like a natural beauty or that I could be pretty without make-up.
"No matter what I do, I'm never going to look like someone like Gisele Bundchen. No matter what! So I like creating a fantasy and using glamour as my way of being sexy."
I suppose this makes sense. She worked with what she had - that's sound advice.

Celebrities At The Dior Paris Fashion Show
Celebrities flocked to the Dior Spring/Summer 2010 fashion show during Paris Fashion Week yesterday afternoon. What do you think of Rihanna's look? She wore the new studded heels by Christian Louboutin with a pair of long black gloves, torn tights, and bright lips stick. This girl is fearless when it comes to fashion!
Also in attendance was Dita Von Teese and Bruce Willis. And might I say that Dita is looking lovely here. It's a bit tamed for her usual look but I love it!
