Dita Von Teese Is "Obsessed" With Dirndls

(picture from her Twitter feed)
Dita von Teese is "obsessed" with dirndls.
The 36-year-old burlesque star has abandoned her trademark vintage gowns in favor of the dresses traditionally worn by peasants in the alps of Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein.
Dita - who is currently on tour in Salzburg - is so "in love" with her new outfit, she is considering throwing away all her other clothes.
Writing on her Twitter account, the brunette beauty - who has designed a range for lingerie brand Wonderbra - said:
"Yes, I really AM going to wear my dirndl to the sound of music tour. I'm obsessed. I can't be stopped! I may throw out all my other clothes.
"Dirndl-wearing requires significant cleavage! Good thing I packed my WONDERBRA!(shameless plug alert!)My new collection comes out this fall (sic)."
Dita has very strict rules when it comes to fashion. She recently revealed she never wears "normal" clothes, even dressing up when she's home alone.
She said:
"You'll never find me in sweat pants and a T-shirt. If I'm relaxing at home I go for vintage lounge wear - maybe a silk slip or vintage pajamas."
PS - I am in sweat pants and a t shirt right now. LOL!!

Dita Von Teese At The Coachella Music Festival

Dita Von Teese looked like Summer while enjoying day three of the Coachella Music Festival yesterday in Indio, California. She's always in uniform no matter the weather! You have to love that commitment. Those coconut drinks must be popular at Coachella because yesterday we saw Reese Witherspoon carrying one.
What do you guys think of Dita's dress? How about her shoes?

Dita Von Teese Talks About Prior Tattoo Experience

Did you know that the beauty mark on Dita Von Teese's face is a tattoo? I didn't!
Did you also know that it would have been a star had a tattoo artist not refused to ink the burlesque dancer's request?
Dita went into a parlor and asked to have a star drawn on her face as she was obsessed with drawing little figures on her cheeks. The tattoo artist talked her out of it and instead gave her a beauty mark - something a bit timelier.
"You have to understand I was pretty eccentric. I was always drawing hearts and stars in that spot. I went in thinking I wanted a star there, but they wouldn’t do it.
"They were the voice of reason. They were so right."
That's not the only tattoo she ended up not getting. Dita also toyed with tattooing seams up and down her legs to replicate fashion from the 40s.
"In the early nineties I almost got seams (tattooed) up the back of my legs but I’m so glad I didn’t. Can you imagine how hard it would be to match up the seams with real stockings? It would have been a nightmare.
"At that time I was researching everything about the forties, about how during World War II women would draw seams on. I thought, ‘Wouldn’t that be cool?’ I had them henna tattooed on, but I never went all the way."
