Happy Birthday Harry...I mean Daniel Radcliffe. Poor guy will forever be known as the kid in the wizard movies. Well, that, or the guy who got naked in Equus. :)

Dan celebrated his birthday today by going out to eat with his family and his girlfriend Laura O'Toole at a restaurant called the Wolseley. Dan turned 19 today...can't believe he's so young!

Daniel Radcliffe Coming To Broadway

Daniel Radcliffe is coming to Broadway for his role in Equus. Yes, that play, remember, the one where he gets naked? I wonder if he takes it all off in the Broadway version too. Daniel's a little nervous about it, but I'm sure he'll do great!

"It will be amazing, but I will be terrified because I was talking to Richard Griffiths about playing New York and he said the most stupid thing you can do is underestimate New York audiences. I would be very nervous because I think (the audiences are) even more discerning than in London."

Where can I get my hands on some tickets?!? Haha, just kidding! Daniel's cute but he's a little young for me :)

Harry Potter Receives Death Threats

Daniel Radcliffe has received some death threats and apparently they are being taken very seriously. He's now been assigned former SAS bodyguards (SAS are the special forces in the British military). His driver from the last seven years has stepped down to let someone more experienced do the job and he even has a "chase car" that will be constantly following his vehicle.
The threat comes from a Harry Potter stalker and the studio is taking all precautions to keep Daniel safe during the filming of the 6th film.

"There is real concern for Daniel's welfare. This isn't about keeping an eye out for paparazzi - they're looking for something sinister."

Harry Potter Coming Out Of The Closet

Well, there has been buzz for some time now that Daniel Radcliffe might be gay. I don't know if I believe it, but when Daniel went up on stage at the Theatergoers' Choice Awards to accept the Best Newcomer award, he received a full on kiss from the presenter, James Cordon.
I was thinking this was going to be a little peck on the lips, but no, this is the REAL DEAL. Go watch the video if you don't believe me! Seriously, you have to check out this guy just planting a big wet one on Daniel!
Once you've seen it, tell me, do you think Harry Potter could be gay? Or is he just a confident enough guy that he's able to joke around like that and still be comfortable.
Daniel's rep says, "It was a spontaneous gesture that was very funny. Daniel took it in the light-hearted spirit it was intended."

The sexy Orlando Bloom was in attendance at the annual "Orange British Academy Film Awards" which took place in London yesterday. Not only was the lovely Orlando there, but also Hugh Laurie (House), Daniel Radcliffe, and a bearded Viggo Mortensen. I was so wrapped up in the Grammy's that I completely forgot about this one.Men have no stress when getting ready for an award show. Their formula is so easy!

And *gasp* his sex scene! I thought I would be over seeing Harry Potter sans clothes since the "Equus" photos came out, but for some reason he'll always be a little boy in glasses to me. He opened up to Movies Online recently:
On playing a Catholic:

I'm not religious at all. To be honest, I play a Catholic boy who grows up in a Catholic orphanage so there are obviously going to be a lot of Catholic themes. I mean, if I'm playing a Jewish boy, now we would be celebrating New Year. So it just varies to what the part is. It didn't really make any particular difference to me. Even though I'm not religious, I didn't object to it.

On doing an indie movie:

It just so happened that this was the best script I read and it was for an indie movie so I wanted to do something. But then again if I hadn't believed in this script, I wouldn't have done anything. I really wanted to do something in between Harry Potters 4 and 5, but if a script hadn't come along it was very important that I didn't just do something for the sake of doing it, you know?

On the movie's sex scene:

We started filming up there at 11 o'clock in the morning of December 23rd and we finished at 4:15 a.m. on Christmas Eve. So it was a very long day and we filmed the sex scene probably at about 8 o'clock that night so I wasn't too tired yet [laughs] luckily, but I was nervous. Definitely. Being the first love scene that I had ever done it was not exactly imposing but you were aware and you were thinking, "Oh God, what do I do? What don't I do?" So just stuff like that really and luckily Teresa (Palmer) was very, very good at helping me to just chill out and just have a laugh for it, that's what it was about.

On reading the last Harry Potter book:

There's a quote, I'm not going to take this into too pretentious a route through this next bit but there's a quote from Chekhov when he wrote to the woman who was the final love of his life, who he later married and I think died with, not that she died but he was with her when he died, and he addresses a letter to her and he says, "Hello, the last page of my life." Which seemed very appropriate to me reading this book, because he has been such a part of my life now. I've been with him through all my teen years, and you were suddenly aware that - “ I started reading it, it was wow, this is the last time I will take a journey with this character, and it was quite a special moment ...

He just keeps on impressing me! If I was years younger I would probably melt. :) I've watched the trailer for this movie and it looks really good. Is it on your must-see list?

At the LA premier of Harry Potter: Order of Phoenix, Extra TV showed Emma Watson her co-star Daniel Radcliffe's new photo layout for Details magazine.

The teen reacted with a gasp of (rather delighted) shock when she was shown the results of a photo shoot her co-star had done for Details magazine. The photos were taken for an interview in the magazine.

I must say that the expression on her face is priceless! She must not have expected to see Harry Potter in leather. ;-)
