Ricky Gervais To Host This Year’s Golden Globes Awards
Ricky Gervais will host this year’s Golden Globes awards. The British funnyman has been named compare for the Hollywood celebration of TV and film achievement, held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, next January.
Of his appointment to host the awards, ‘The Invention of Lying’ star said he is looking forward to having “free reign” as a presenter.
“Not only is this the biggest Hollywood celebration of the industry which includes both film and TV, but also an environment where I feel I can get free reign as a host.
“I have resisted many other offers like this, but there are just some things you don't turn down.”
The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place in the US on January 17, 2010.

Celebs Turn Out For The Invention Of Lying Premiere
I've been curious about 'The Invention of Lying' ever since I heard about it. It stars Ricky Gervais (of the UK version of 'The Office,' 'Extras,' and 'Ghost Town'). It's set in an alternate universe where no one knows how to lie. Then Ricky's character discovers how to lie. Hijinks ensue.
The supporting cast includes Rob Lowe, Jennifer Garner, and Louis CK (pictures above) as well as Jason Bateman and Tina Fey. So, great cast, and Ricky is hilarious, but what do you think of this as a film? Is this worth a trip to the theater or is it a renter or skip it altogether?

Keanu Reeves And Jennifer Garner Leaving Toronto Film Festival Party
Jennifer Garner (who was a vision in emerald green) and Keanu Reeves (who was rocking a full beard) were each spotted exiting the 'Invention of Lying' after party during the The Toronto International Film Festival. Who else was invited? Ricky Gervais, Chris Kattan, and Michael Cera. What a FUNNY crowd!!
