Kayla Ewell Dishes On 'Twilight' Vampires And Her Own 'Vampire Diaries' Co-Stars

Kayla Ewell Dishes On 'Twilight' Vampires And Her Own 'Vampire Diaries' Co-Stars

I hope Kayla Ewell likes the current popularity of vampires, because it's a big part of her life! In addition to starring in 'The Vampire Diaries,' she's still close friends with her ex-boyfriend, Kellan Lutz, of 'Twilight' fame, and has even met Robert Pattinson. Kayla talked about Kellan and Robert, as well as her own co-stars with OK! magazine.

What is her relationship with Kellan like?

It's fun to call Kellan and run ideas by him. He and I dated for years, when we were younger. We're really good friends still. It's so much fun for us, now, to see each other working and still be each other's support system. He's amazing.

What is Robert like?

He's definitely über-sexy and he doesn't try to be. I remember the first time I met him — I was like, "Oh, hello!" And then he starts talking and that makes it 1,000 times hotter. I'm a sucker for accents and any man who can actually sing and serenade you. He'd do open-mic nights in random bars in Portland, Ore., while they were filming Twilight. I was dating Kellan then and we'd all hang out sometimes.

So what are her 'The Vampire Diaries' co-stars, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley really like?

They're both so sexy! Every day I show up at work and think, "It's not fair that you're this hot!" They're so charming in real life and each has a really engaging personality. Ian is gregarious, the life of the party and the one everybody gravitates toward; Paul is like a secretive, sexy, groovy vampire — he's on the opposite end of the spectrum.

So, who's Kayla's favorite vampire?

Yeah for True Blood and I guess I need to see 'Drag Me to Hell' since it won Best Horror!

When Megan Fox accepted her award for Best Sci Fi actress, she said,

"I would like to take this moment to actually say something genuine. There have been a lot of false reports concerning how I feel about this movie and I just want to be very clear that I've always felt that I am a very ordinary part of an extraordinary film.

“These movies took me out of obscurity and they gave me a career and I am completely grateful to everyone involved with this franchise."

Guess there is no more drama between Megan and Michael Bay.

Vampire Diaries' Star Ian Somerhalder Lands Next Movie Role

Vampire Diaries' Star Ian Somerhalder Lands Next Movie Role

'Vampire Diaries' star Ian Somerhalder has signed onto his next project, a horror movie entitled 'The Cradlewood'. YEAH!! The more Ian we have made available to us, the happier I become. That boy is handsome!

Somerhalder will play the son of an old Boston blue-blood family, the heir to a fortune, who's dating an Australian girl (Emma Lung, Triangle). A family legend of his suggests that the family fortunes are tied up with a demon, and that a curse means that every time a boy is born into the family, his father dies. When he begins to experience strange things at the same time he starts suspecting his girlfriend is pregnant, he begins to worry that it's not just an old wives' tale.

I'm in! Right up my alley.

And while we are talking about 'Vampire Diaries' - how much do we LOVE this series? I am so happy every time I turn on my DVR and it's there waiting for me. I can't wait to find out Damon Salvatore's side of the story.

Ian Somerhalder Enjoying Playing Bad Boy Character

Ian Somerhalder Enjoying Playing Bad Boy Character

Ian Somerhalder, one of the stars of the new hit CW series "Vampire Diaries" opened up about his portrayal of vampire brother Damon in a recent interview.

On whether it was fun to play an “evil” character:

Ian: Oh yeah. I saw "Inglorious Basterds" and thinking Christoph Waltz [who plays Col. Hans Landa] was the best part of the movie, by far because he's carrying out all these atrocities to humanity and yet he's undeniably fun to watch. And while I'm not comparing myself to him as an actor, Damon is very similar in the way that he does things that aren't so nice but he relishes doing them.

On why that type of character is appealing:

Ian: Because they're so dangerous and fun, you can't help but watch. And for me it's so fun to say the lines they're giving me -- I was always so envious of Josh Holloway on "Lost" because he got the best things to say! Boone just wasn't that guy, so now it's so cool to actually be that guy. I'm forever indebted to Kevin and everyone else who was dumb enough to give me this job.

The Vampire Diaries is based on a book of the same name written by L.J. Smith. The premiere episode, which aired last Thursday, was the most-watched premiere ever for the CW network – 4.9 million viewers tuned in! The new episode airs tonight at 8pm.

Did you catch it? Is it something you are interested in or has the vamp craze left you feeling a bit “drained”? ;-)
