Eva Mendes Talks Nudity
Actress Eva Mendes has been in the press a lot in 2008, but often not because of her acting. In addition to a rumored rehab stint (which she refuses to confirm or deny), she posed for some very revealing photos that lit up the internet. She talked to Kurt Patat from Moviefone about nudity.
Eva did a revealing photo shoot for Italian Vogue and a Calvin Klein ad that was banned in the United States. She thinks it's important to distinguish between different types of nudity.
I'm American, and I'm as proud as you get. But I think it's easier for
us to portray violence, and then to be OK with it, than it is for some
reason to portray nudity. And look: I don't like gratuitous nudity, and
I believe that I've never been a part of gratuitous nudity, in a film
or in a photo shoot. I feel like all my stuff has always been, if not
artful, if not artsy, you know, tasteful. I think we're a bit
conservative when it comes to nudity and sexuality. And it's so funny
because I'd much rather see a beautiful nude of a woman than see these
girls with these Triple-D fake boobs in a bikini. To me, that's more
vulgar than seeing a beautiful nude of a natural body."
Eva also thinks body proportions make a difference.
It's like, who cares if you actually see the nipple in the nude? It's a
beautiful, natural nude. Versus, you know, women in these tiny, little,
itsy bitsy bikinis with boobs that really don't belong on their body.
And I'm not against fake breasts at all; I'm not against augmentation.
But I think when you get to that point of vulgarity where it's not in
proportion, that's more vulgar to me than a beautiful nude."

Scarlett Johansson Is Not Ready For Kids
This drove me crazy right after I got married as well. People automatically assumed we were going to get pregnant on our honeymoon. Prior to the engagement it was, "When are you two getting married?" and then after the wedding it was, "When's the baby coming?"
So much pressure! I'm sure everyone can relate.
Scarlett Johansson is already being asked the baby question despite the fact that she hasn't been married a year and is just 24 years old. Give the girl some time to enjoy her new man, Ryan Reynolds. Wouldn't you want a few months of alone time with him as well?! :)
"I’m 24 years old! I’ve got a lot of time for that. I love to work and
I’m enjoying myself right now. Someday in the distant future I’m sure I’ll want to
enjoy that part of my life. But I’m not ready for that yet."

Check out all the gorgeous ladies that arrived to the premiere of, "The Spirit" in Hollywood last night.
- Eva Mendes arrived in a floor length yellow 70's inspired gown. It's no surprise that she looks gorgeous since she has the ability / power to pull anything off. :)
- Scarlett Johansson went in a different fashion direction. She choose a strapless white princess gown, sparkly open toed shoes, and a 50's pin-up hair style.
- Paz Vega really knocked it out of the park in a deep purple cocktail gown and nude colored heels.
- Jaime King kept things more current in a short navy (black?) dress with shoulder slit accents.
- Amanda Peet was cute and casual in a striped top, short black skirt, and white coat.

Cosmopolitan Responds To Scarlett Johansson Mix Up
Blame it on the freelancer!!
UK's Cosmopolitan Magazine has finally responded to the allegations that their entire interview with Scarlett Johansson was made up. I've been waiting all night for this one.
Turns out they got the quotes from a freelance writer who swore he interviewed the actress... and they believed him.
"UK Cosmopolitan printed an interview with Scarlett Johansson that included quotes from an agency journalist regarding the actress’s marriage. We ran these quotes in good faith with the understanding that the interview was carried out with the approval of Ms. Johansson and her publicist. UK Cosmopolitan is taking the complaints by Ms. Johansson’s publicist seriously and is investigating the matter further."
At least they are making an effort to get to the bottom of this. What kind of agency journalist did they hook up with? I mean, I still can't get over the whole thing. He must have gotten paid a pretty penny for Ryan Reynolds quotes as Scarlett doesn't talk about her personal life.

Scarlett Johansson To Sue UK Cosmopolitan
This story is CRAZY. A rep for Scarlett Johansson has released a statement claiming that Cosmopolitan's January interview with the actress was "wholly fabricated". Scarlett never sat down with the magazine!
(The interview was) an "obvious attempt...to gain monetarily by misinforming their readers."
"Ms. Johansson, who goes to great lengths to preserve an authentic
representation of herself with respect to her fans and the media, is
disappointed to see a seemingly reputable publication inexplicably
publish a work of fiction at her expense,"
So one would think that Cosmopolitan just took bits and pieces from other interviews right? Well, everything written regarding Scarlett's marriage was MADE UP!
"
Not only were marriage-related quotations attributed to the newlywed actress "wholly fabricated," but Johansson "has at no point granted U.K. Cosmopolitan an interview, and she has never discussed her personal relationships with the publication," her rep said in a statement obtained Saturday by E! News.
Holy Smokes! How are they going to explain this one? The two quotes below were printed in the story but were never said by Scarlett!
- "Ryan has a very romantic side. We both enjoy remembering little things that make us happy."
- "My head is screwed on pretty good. I live a very private and modest lifestyle and I have great friends—who are not actors—and a great family."
I am so confused. How can someone just think that it's ok to write up a fake interview and expect no one to be upset about it?
You'd expect this from a rag, but not a reputable magazine like Cosmo!
