America Ferrera's Ugly Betty sure did some damage at The 2008 ALMA Awards held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in LA. Just look at how many awards the series scooped up! Eva Longoria, Roselyn Sanchez, Karina Smirnoff, Mario, Charlie Sheen, Shakira, and Zac Efron walked the red carpet and cheered on their pals at this weekend's event.

Shakira At The 'Global Campaign For Education' Conference

Shakira is an honorary chairperson for the 'Global Campaign for Education' and was in Washington D.C. to speak at the conference. I don't think anyone can dispute the fact that Education should be provided and allowed for anyone around the world. All children and adults should have the right to an education and I completely support Shakira and the 'Global Campaign for Education'.

These pictures of Shakira in Uruguay are from a week ago, but I haven't seen them anywhere so I thought I'd post for all the Shakira fans out there :) She looks beautiful as always!
And speaking of Shakira, did you hear about the auction she did to raise money for her charity Pies Descalzos (Bare Feet)? She sold off her clothes to bidders and managed to raise $76,000. One of her bra's alone raised $3,000! But the highest bid was for VIP tickets to her concert in Toronto, plus a meet and greet with the singer herself. It went for $14,000. How much would you pay to meet your favorite celebrity?!?

A beautiful looking Shakira was on "The Jay Leno Show" last night wearing a rose colored dress and bronze peep-toe shoes. She's sang the song, 'Despedida' from her newest CD, "Oral Fixation". I definitely count myself as a fan, I've always liked her music and her music videos. And it doesn't hurt that she is eye candy. Breathtaking!

Shakira was looking gorgeous as usual as she attended Saturday night's "A Heart For Children" charity even in Berlin. Looking amazing in her red gown, Shakira, helped the telethon raise 12 million euros for sick, handicapped and neglected children in Germany.In other Shakira news, she's up for Best Original Song for "Despedia" which she recorded for the movie, "Love in the time of Cholera". Has anyone heard any wedding updates? It's all very hush hush isn't it?

Shakira showed off her animal instincts at the AFI Festival 2007 closing night gala screening of 'Love In The Time Of Cholera' in LA. I have to admit, I love the cut of this dress. She looks curvaceous and sexy!! Then again, this is Shakira we are talking about. Shakira Performs Benefit Concert At The Palms

Shakira performed inside the Rain Nightclub in the Palms LV as a charity benefit for The Bare Feet Foundation (Pies Desalzos Foundation). Following the concert, a special screening of 'Love in the Time of Cholera' was held at the Brenden Theaters.

Shakira hobnobbed with the stars at the 32nd Annual Toronto International Film Festival this past Sunday. She wore a little bit more makeup than we are used to seeing her in. I think I prefer my Shakira au naturel :)I remember a while back we heard she was going to get married to Antonio de la Rua this fall. Has anybody heard word on whether that's still happening? Those two have been engaged for like 5 years now! I don't know about you but I'd be chomping at the bit if I were her. There's nothing wrong with a long engagement but that's taking it to the extreme!
